Guest guest
Thanks Elissa! You will get there too, that's for sure. All you need is a little bit of patience, faith and mental support we are all happily willing to provide. And, most importantly, do not forget to address the internal issues. They are the main source for your condition. That is why healthy people living with us remain unaffected. Guest guest
Just before I came down with any of this, I noticed the lint. I told my sister and father it was as if it were alive and waiting for me. I believe it can grow in the dryer. That's why I trashed the 1st dryer and continually clean the inside of my new dryer and lint trap. I do it with vinegar after every use. Guest guest
They are morgellons related, but there are multiple interpretations and theories as to what morgellons is. They all do have Lyme, it's like a subgroup of Lyme patients. I had the Morgellons symptoms- but the lesions are also typical of bartonella so I believe it's a combination of pathogens, my LLMD agrees with me. The bugs are a manifestation of the infections. Bugs rarely bother people with healthy immune systems.AandrayaOn Nov 20, 2011, at 6:25 PM, Elissa <elissarachel@...> wrote: I don't recall them on my clothing. My husband lived apart from us for 6 weeks with a co-worker while the baby and I moved in with his parents...i wouldn't stay in our apartment. He separately would find lint balls on his mattress cover!!!! That's how I initially knew they were related to the infestation. On Nov 20, 2011 6:38 PM, <Goldstein@...> wrote: So true. Guest guest
Same here, the lint balls appeared on a load of laundry at the very beginning. Then they started appearing on anything I wore. So I wore only nylon, Lycra, leather, or vinyl- they couldn't make lint balls then. Yes, if you tap gently the lint balls they will slide across a surface or jump- did this a thousand times. I thought maybe some magnetic property... or there were live organisms inside. I have some put away. Someday I will take them out and see if they still move. The lab did find an adult insect inside one. Never found info if springtails make cocoons. I boiled them, baked them, and tried every chemical on them.AaOn Nov 20, 2011, at 6:31 PM, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote: Just before I came down with any of this, I noticed the lint. Guest guest
- maybe it was the dryer vent because this happened to me when I moved to a new apt and had a washer/dryer in my unit.On Nov 20, 2011, at 6:31 PM, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote: Just before I came down with any of this, I noticed the lint. Guest guest
i definitely have the lint balls, everywhere. i have seen a lot of cocoon like things also. they truly look like something more than a lint ball. most of this stuff i have had to ignore and go about life because this experience has made me paranoid and freaked out. just talking about parasites and stuff makes people itch so i am wondering what's real and what is not. my mom asked me how long i was going to keep clothes in bins and my house like it is. it made me soo mad. i told her when i go 2 weeks without a bite i might hang my clothes back in the closet. the weather has been warm the past few days and i got a few bites, so they must not be active when the temp drops, but just hanging around waiting. ugh! i had to pull out my magnifying glass tonight i knew i felt them crawling. > >>>> > >>>> > >>>>Â > >>>>I didn't know Krys was a birdmite researcher. Does he study how they affect humans? I found an article on a woman quarantined in New York because she was covered in birdmites. An entomologist at the State of Washington was mentioned in the article. He said humans can play hosts to birdmites. The woman stated she had them going in her eyes, nose, mouth and " other places " . I picked up the phone and called that entomolgist and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Guest guest
You are right, they are NOT regular lint balls. They are lint cocoons. Have you tried tapping them while they sit on a flat surface? They move. You need to wear silky, smooth polyester like textures that they cannot attach to. Store all cotton things away. I even cut the cotton panties out of my underwear. Anything that they could attach to. My lab DID find an insect inside one.AandrayaOn Nov 20, 2011, at 10:08 PM, alaire73 <alaire_fetters@...> wrote: i definitely have the lint balls, everywhere. i have seen a lot of cocoon like things also. they truly look like something more than a lint ball. most of this stuff i have had to ignore and go about life because this experience has made me paranoid and freaked out. just talking about parasites and stuff makes people itch so i am wondering what's real and what is not. my mom asked me how long i was going to keep clothes in bins and my house like it is. it made me soo mad. i told her when i go 2 weeks without a bite i might hang my clothes back in the closet. the weather has been warm the past few days and i got a few bites, so they must not be active when the temp drops, but just hanging around waiting. ugh! i had to pull out my magnifying glass tonight i knew i felt them crawling. > >>>> > >>>> > >>>>Â > >>>>I didn't know Krys was a birdmite researcher. Guest guest
Hi,Linds!I understand the horror of not letting your kids have a normal life. We were islated for 8 months before we moved and threw away everything. From then on we have had people at home and friends for the kids and noone had been affected, even if we still have some strange infectins and aftersymptoms from the mites. I really just wanted to let you know that it can be ok again! You and your kids need to be able to see frineds etc again, it is awful to be isolated. Take care!Cecilia From: Linds J <lj_mom11@...>"bird mites " <bird mites > Sent: Saturday, November 19, 2011 5:41 PMSubject: Re: scared - For Linds - be cautious not scared Elissa- I think it really helps that you have the support of your husband. As you know, I do not. I feel lost and alone. Although, it does help with the support from all of you whom I don't even know. I can't help but think about it. My nieces and nephews want to come to my house and want me to take them places as I have always done and I have to tell them no. My son wants to have sleep overs and I have to tell him no. It just breaks my heart that my kids can't have a normal life and its all left up to me to try to fix it. Most of the success stories on here are of just one individual who succeeded. I'm not sure of a whole family winning the battle. I believe you have your LLMD appt. around the same time as me. Mine is on Dec. 1st. I will be at the appt. on my own but at least he agreed to travel with me. He can't sit in with me with kids. It wouldn't work. Good luck with your appt. and I'll be interested as to what you come up with. Sad, but I've stopped talking about it except on this site and to people who understand. I don't try to make people understand, either. It just gets me upset when they act like I'm crazy. I know I'm not... They either get it or don't...who's to blame them...this is the stuff they make nightmares out of... Personally, I try not to think about things too much. This especially works when my symptoms are not that bad. I just keep up my rituals and know I'm doing the best I can...and that my appointment is right around the corner. My husband, although he never got bitten, felt crawlies. He's a scientist so I didn't think he'd be as supportive, but it helps that I match with the great majority of lyme symptoms (which helps give him a rationale for this infestation on me) & also he witnessed the black stick-like things crawl out of and back in my skin! Just about blew his mind! I hope your LLMD appointment goes well! It is good your family is going with you. Maybe this will help your husband understand. What state is your doctor in...? Guest guest
Well, could be. My dryer was mine and new, but the outtake vent had 5 abandoned bird's nest in it. My dryer wouldn't dry for the lack of air. When cleaned, the mess came out in wet, soggy globs. Yuck!
