Guest guest
Aandraya,Are you taking The Core Mineral Supplement for the HPU? Did you actually see a doctor to get diagnosed for it and did you get the testing done for it? I'm interested in all of that. I increased my Zinc levels the last few days and notice an increase in energy, but I know there is more to it than just adding in zinc. The first dayI increased the zinc I was nauseous until about 12:30 a.m. I have some of the symptoms... I've always needed more B6 than most people I know and I have carpal tunnel syndrome. Had surgery for that in right hand and should get the left done at some point, maybe some time soon. B6 really helps carpal tunnel syndrome. How much zinc are you taking if you are not on The Core Mineral Supplement. That supplement is kind of expensive too, so do you know where to get it more cheaply? Lots of questions... thanks Aa. Guest guest
LInda- sorry I never responded to this. I don't take The Core. I take all the ingredients to that protocol individually. I started at 250 mg Zinc for 8 months and 100 mg the last 4 mos. It is common for it to make you nauseous especially if you are deficient. Apparently zinc picolinate is the form to cause the least amount of nausea. I take Manganese, Zinc 100mg, B6 25mg, P5P 50 mg, Taurine 500mg 3x a day, Omega 6. Then I take the optional ones- LIthium orotate, Boron, and Molybdenum. Klinghardt also recommends for all Lyme treatments- Magnesium, fish oil for Omega 3's, and Niacin. I buy the powder supplements from PureBulk.com and the Lith. oro. powder at Beyond a Century.AandrayaOn Sep 18, 2011, at 12:47 AM, Goldstein@... wrote: Aandraya,Are you taking The Core Mineral Supplement for the HPU? Guest guest
Thanks Aandraya. No problem. I didn't buy The Core, but like you am now taking the supplements individually. I noticed after 4 days or so that the zinc at higher levels started to cause detox symptoms and I have the Herx going too, so had to back off a bit for right now. I'm still getting nausea in the middle of the night which wakes me up and I can't get back to sleep. One of my big issues has been insomnia over the years. I really think I am on the right track now, but will maybe have to take it a little slower and besides that, I'm really learning a lot right now about Lyme and coinfections and HPU. Am reading a new book now on Lyme which is way over my head... but I'll glean from it what I can. The book is called Healing Lyme, Natural Healing and Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis and Its Coinfections by Harrod Buhner. He clearly states that Lyme disease can be contracted from mites, along with other vectors, such as mosquitos. The main vectors are ticks whose hosts here are primarily deer and mice, but there are many others... this book seems rather scientific but since I just got into the book I'm hoping it becomes more for the layperson too. Thanks Aa! Guest guest
- I've been dairy free for a long time. Once in a while I have goat milk products- they're not pro inflammatory like cow dairy. Supps and dairy should be taken away from Doxy, especially minerals. Rifampin should be taken away from food. I basically follow the Paleo diet per my naturopath- no grains. I eat clean meats, fruit, vegetables, nuts, and sometimes goat dairy.I tried adding gluten-free grains back in for 2 months and my symptoms shot up so I'm back on grain free. I have no gut issues on this diet and don't gain weight like so many do with Lyme.AandrayaOn Nov 18, 2011, at 4:24 PM, Goldstein@... wrote: Aandraya,Do you eat dairy products while you are taking Doxy and Rifampin? After doing a little more reading I think maybe I need to get off dairy altogether because of what I suspect are allergies to dairy. Eyes constantly watering and nose running-- But more importantly I think maybe I've been taking the Doxy too close together with the dairy. Two months later I am just figuring out the spacing of food and meds. Sad.What do you think?

Guest guest
- hope it goes well. I was surprised how quickly I adjusted to the diet. I found it interesting that when I started eating rice 2 months ago my cravings got worse. I eat a lot of eggs, meat, raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and all fruits and veggies. No legumes or beans. No sugar or caffeine, no canned foods.Aandraya On Nov 19, 2011, at 11:00 AM, Goldstein@... wrote: I decided to omit dairy products, so today is day 1. Guest guest
You are right, Aggi. I have craved suger and dairy since I've had this. I noticed about a week ago my cravings are gone. I think that means progress. , I believe milk is evil. Have never in my life been able to drink it without swelling occurring. I've always known that if I gain any weight, a milk product has been in my diet. The hormones they give the cattle passes to the milk, too. I read a book in the 1980's called, "Modern Meat" I think by Orville Schnell. He talks about the children in South America that were getting sexual developement and diseases as early as 5 months due to the hormones in the milk. The farmers there were delighted that the cattle fattened up on the hormones, and so they started giving them 5xs the recommended doses. After reading about the fibers showing up in cattle, I am so wondering if veggin is the only way at this point. But then, how do we avoid the contanimated water supply? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those photos of the cattle with fibers coming out of their hooves. Of course they are feeding the cattle more antibiotics to deal with the Lyme Disease they have acquired. Hmmm, more antibiotics in cattle for us to eat and experience? I was wondering about the water too. We do drink filtered water here at home, but I used to use regular tap water for cooking, now I'm using just the filtered water. I think you are right about the milk. It is an addictive substance to me, esp. in the form of cheese. I can't even have yogurt without sinuses getting all clogged up. I went to the store a few days ago and bought Tempeh and yogurt made from soy. Yes, I know... soy isn't that great either, but I feel I need something. I'll stick with the soy at least temporarily as I try to figure out this new food protocol. Even if you buy the organic milk, it doesn't solve the problem with allergies if allergic. Or it could be it is just feeding candida and not a true allergic response. The early sexual development in girls could easily be explained the way you described with the cattle getting so many antibiotics. I know of girls who started their menses when they were 9 and 10. That's just wrong. How is a 9 year old to handle that? Here's something else I'm learning, duh, should have figured this one out long ago. Dr. Metzger, our LLMD tests for food allergies when she does a work up. Husband had it - $400 for the test and I opted not to do it since I'd had it done years ago, figured allergies would not have changed. He had had it done years ago too previously but chose to have it again (by the way, the two tests matched up perfectly... he was STILL allergic to the same foods). IF we have allergies or inflammation going on anywhere in the body, it lowers your immune system's response to fight off foreign invader bacteria, viruses, parasites, etc. Perhaps even mite attacks. So, for me getting rid of the grains and dairy will help to overcome some of these pathogens I figure, ie., the Lyme and the Bart and Babs. That's what I figure and it will help the fungal aspects too. Let me know if any of you think this is incorrect or sometehing I might have forgotten.
