Guest guest
hello aandrya, no they are still here. it is better. they really get me at the computer so i try to stay away. i'll have a few awesome days then i get nailed. i house/dog sit a lot. it is very stressful trying not to spread these around. it is nice to get away from my house, but i do get bit over there. they have swallow nests everywhere. all around the porch and garage. she keeps them there and they return every year. you know your outlook on things change after experiencing this. we had some cooler weather here and low humidity so i think that has helped some. at least i get a few days brake every once in awhile kinda get a grasp things, renew refill my bucket of hope and faith. you are all in my thoughts and prayers daily... much love, alaire > > This group has been so quiet. Guest guest
Hi to everyone out there! We haven't forgotten about you... just very absorbed with trying to treat the Lyme Disease and coinfections right now... it is all a part of the process. Many with birdmites get these conditions. Not everyone, like Bill, who didn't get the internal stuff so much, but remained external. My situation was definitely complicated by having pre-existing Lyme Disease. The bugs are attracted to people who are sick and that was originally talked about on the birdmites.org site I visited years ago... Those who had sick members in the family, esp. those who had immune problems, had the hardest time getting rid of the mites. Don't quote me, but that was the gist of it. My husband is healthier than I am even tho he has Lyme. So many symptoms he did not get, or if he got the symptoms, he didn't keep them. Only conclusion I can come to is that his immune system continued to keep the infections at bay.Hugs to all. Guest guest
I've had the weird feeling on my scalp for the last day or 2. I finally took 1 Wormwood capsule and that seemed to quiet it down some. I work on a computer all day as that is my job, so I have been using a Swiffer to mop the floor in here and sprayed Lysol complete on the mop which seems to help. Went outside and could feel the mites out there today. I have kept out of my car since August but I'm thinking about using the predator mites. Does anyone have an address where to order them? Thanks. Guest guest
I still am hypersensitive when I see any sort of bug around me or see small specks of things. I'm becoming more confident though as time goes on and they haven't returned, and I don't find things on me or feel the biting.AandrayaOn Oct 6, 2011, at 5:45 PM, Goldstein@... wrote: Oh dear. Guest guest
As far as I know there has only been the one study on Collembola found on humans (attached). I don't think they ascertained whether the Collembola were actually feeding on skin or on fungus on the skin. The study is strongly refuted by various other scientific groups, but my take on it is that many people describe the almost exactly the same symptoms & the study offers a plausible explanation. Guest guest
This is from the first page of the report: " These individuals experience itching, stinging/biting, and crawling sensations on or under their skin, which are often associated with excoriations, discoloration, scaling, tunneling or sores. Their conviction that they are infested is reinforced by their observation of particles described as sparkly, crusty, crystal-like, white or black specks and/or fibers. " Some of these symptoms are frequently described by people here. I was interested as soon as I first read the study because some of the symptoms (sparkly, crystal like bits & black specks) sounded similar to those my mother had been describing to me. I had collembola on me and in my apartment, they were attracted to the disease in my skin but I don't know what they were doing on me- living, reproducing, or just eating... [1 Attachment] [Attachment(s) from Krys Brennand included below] As far as I know there has only been the one study on Collembola found on humans (attached). I don't think they ascertained whether the Collembola were actually feeding on skin or on fungus on the skin. The study is strongly refuted by various other scientific groups, but my take on it is that many people describe the almost exactly the same symptoms & the study offers a plausible explanation. Guest guest
I'll see if I can locate them, the Swedish one was quite old- 40 yrs or so I think, had some photos too. My doctor did send one of the fuzz balls I took from my environment to a lab and they said it was reported "unidentifiable adult insect". I was never able to find the organism inside the fuzz balls, but they all had a very distinct shape and were dense and tightly woven.AandrayaOn Oct 7, 2011, at 6:33 PM, Krys Brennand <krys109uk@...> wrote: Have you got access to those studies Aandraya. I'd really like to read them. My mother also had fuzz ball things some of which seemed to have something white in when crushed. On 7 October 2011 17:58, Aandraya <aandraya@...> wrote: That's okay. There are several European studies where they found collembola living in people's skin, a good one from Sweden. I also don't know if it was they who were making the fuzz ball lint cocoons everywhere. Guest guest
Hi Kryes, I read the report and am amazed at how I fit into the entire description. Yes, yes, yes to your question. Love and light, Where did you read that? I had collembola on me, never knew what exactly the debris was- mold, insects, ect. In my skin. Guest guest
I had most of the symptoms, but I never had the little puff balls or the crystals. I wonder what that means? Guest guest
oops, it looks like the attachment didn't work on my last email. Perhaps a link is better. Scroll down to Section 1b. http://members.cox.net/llyee/ncs_overview/overview_neuro-cutaneous_syndrome_revA.html Yes, mine would only come out after a shower or bath, or in really hot weather. It only happened for a little while and stopped when I got on a new treatment protocol. It was really alarming at the time though. I also had some organism attaching to my clothing fibers and absorbing into my skin. When I had sweat a lot, then took a shower, after the shower when my skin would cool and dry off hundreds of the little fuzz balls the color of my clothing would emerge from my skin. Was very weird and disturbing at the same time. Don't know if it was a "bug" or mold.
