Yeah - it is beneficial to bath at night, b4 I built my wonderful plastic tent to sleep in, I would sleep in a tubful of water til the morning came. Totally uncomfortable - but no bites or crawling.From: "Goldstein@..." <Goldstein@...>To:

It would be ideal to clean in the evening when mites and certain bacteria are most active. There are other things that benefit from cleaning other, like fungi and other bacterias. I've often thought it was most beneficial to bath in those hours when these entities are most active--at night.From: " Benton" <sarahbenton48@...>bird mites Sent: Thursday, September 1, 2011 5:49:54 PMSubject: Re: Re: Hi, some questions...

Theresa, that's a good start. Clean your house with Lysol daily and also vacuum daily. Never do before 5 pm when the beast awakes.Pesticides have not helped me at all, just obsessive cleaning. Sprinkle DE in cracks and behind floor boards and all over your mattress.Wash everything on very high temperature, also add Lysol ! Keep dirty clothes in a sealed box. Never wear them twice.I used isoprop. alcohol 70 % as a spot on spray on my skin, mites drop down dead. 99% even more effective, recommended in the beginning.White vinegar diluted with water 60:40 ratio got them off my scalp.Vacuum couches daily and follow up with alcohol. Ammonia also works, I just can't stand the smell ;-) Windex containing ammonia is good for kitchen surfaces. In the bathroom I used Chlorox.Purchase MSM capsules to make yourself untasty for the mites. I have tried a hundred different things, but these are the ones that have really

helped me.

I used to sleep with a nylon sleeping bag and nylon shower curtain for a sheet. I had my bad completely wrapped in plastic, used a nylon pillow case and wrapped the pillow itself in plastic. Had the dehumidifier going 24/7 and a/c when necessary. Keep the air dry. I don't have to do that anymore, thank god, it was insane. We did the dehumidifier here too, 24/7 for months on end. I used duct tape to tape my plastic bags over feet to my garment and rubber gloves over hands were duct taped too. It kinda worked. But the most uncomfortable for sure were the swim goggles over my eyes. Those were the worst. The outside of the goggles around the eyes were coated with Vicks.From: "Aandraya Da Silva" <aandraya@...>bird mites Sent: Thursday, September 1, 2011 6:48:01 PMSubject: Re: Re: sleep in a tubful of water

Here's a pillow idea that is working well for me. I bought a bag of the polyvifil that you stuff stuff animals with at the craft and sewing store. I put 1/3 in several pillow cases and sewed them up several times to get a good seam that would keep the stuff from coming out. When I wash my sheets and blanket, the pillow goes in, too. No more buying pillows just to get infected and thrown out again. I've been doing this for about 7 months now.

Love and light,

That sounds like a pillow we have which is filled with polystyrene beads & is covered with a sort of stretchy nylon.On 2 September 2011 19:50, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote:

I keep six honest serving-men

  (They taught me all I knew);

Their names are What and Why and When

  And How and Where and Who.
