Guest guest
Lily (7 at the time) got a mild case of chicken pox despite being vaccinated. She pretty much felt okay, a little tired with a low fever, however the fever was well gone by the time the sores were drying up. I'd check in w/his doc. Guest guest
Hi there, Our daughter was vaccinated for chicken pox, and has yet to have them. She is 2 1/2. I have heard that children can develop chicken pox despite the vaccine.
Guest guest
Hi Ruthie, my daughter had chicken pox when she was 2, she had a fever for the first 2 days that was high but controlable and a low fever for a few days after. It was something I was dreading her having but I actually found caring for my daughter through it was much easier than when she has her periodic fevers!! Her fever had gone a few days before the pox dried up so it might be something to ask her doctor. Sally, mum to Beth age 3.
Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who replied regarding 's chicken pox and lingering fever. Thankfully, the fever subsided and he is back to his happy and active self. I am still not sure if the long (5 days) fever episode was due to chicken pox, another virus, or , but I am glad its over! Thank you, Ruthie

Guest guest
Ruth, I was always wondering how to tell if the fever my little girl got was a fever or just maybe an actual childhood fever. I didnt want to give her the prenizone if she was actually just sick because the Pred suppresses the immune, anyway a man on this sight said that as a rule of thumb that if the fever goes really high that it's a fever. I asked my doc about this and he agreed that normal childhood illness fevers dont usually go so high so if she spikes give her the steroid. This comes in handy as the child grows and the fevers become less cyclical. My little girl goes as long as four months now without a fever after years of 14 day cycles so apparently their is a god. Good luck, Steve dad to Randi 4.

Guest guest
That is really interesting about the high fevers only being , as we have been told that many normal childhood illnesses can cause high fevers in young children. That is the reason we need to have our son examined with each fever. In some cases with an ear infection, our son has spiked over 104 degrees. One leading immunologist has told us that some children- whether they have or not- can be prone to spiking high fevers over relatively minor illnesses. Guest guest
Thank you for the welcome! I have been following the group since desember and have found all the information on this site very intresting. I belive I m in stage 4. Potassium has been low for at least 3 years, possibly longer. With supplemnt K ït is still below normal range. 2.6-3..5 (Norm:3.5-5.0) Aldo is high and renin low. C.T shows adenoma on one adrenal gland. I will try to give you my story, on a day I feel opp to it... Guest guest
I am not DASHing, but eat low salt/high potassium anyway. We eat lots off fresh weggies and fruit, mostly organic, no prosessed food and make almost everything from scratch. I tried to avoid salt completly, (as mutch as possible!) but ended opp feeling lousy, with exsteme fatigue, nausia and a total brainfogg. These symptoms went away shortly after eating something very salty. I have had low salt episodes a few times. I have not tried spiro or any other bp medication. As I am still breastfeeding my daughter, I can not use spiro or inspra. My Dr. said I dont have to use any bp meds, as I am having surgery soon, and hopfully bp will be fine afterwards. Bp is now 150/105. Guest guest
Breast feeding is a good way to get rid of excess sodium from your body but recall that human milk has one of the lowest sodium concentrations of all mammals. Trust they are using an accurate automatic device and proper technique. See our consumer's guide to good BP measurement and grade your health care team. Your life depends on your BP. What did your BP do when you were pregnant. Classically it will get much better during pregnancy due to high progesterone a natural aldo blocker. Then will go back up after delivery. Guest guest
Classic story for PA. Can you get BPs before and after pregnancy. Headaches almost certainly due to PA and will go away with control of your PA. When was low K discovered? You cannot give us too much information. Guest guest
Good thinking. Way too much needed to mimic pregnancy and risks would be too high I think. Some may be looking for similar molecules. Clarence E. Guest guest
Bp 1,5 years before pregnancy was 150/94 at a routine medical, through work. My primary doctor never took my bp until I was pregnant, and then it was fine. After delivery it has been high, about 170/110- 150/100. It varys. Low K was discovered about 3 years ago. K also jumps upp and down, almost always below normal. I was hospialised in november with K 2.6 (Norm 3.5-5.0) Was then given K i.v overnight without mutch result. K vent opp to 2.9. I use slow K, 4500 mg a day. Has been on this dosage for almost a year and my medical team will not give me more. I think I have had PA for 20 years or longer, but have no way to prove it. Am glad I finally have a dx and a hope for a better life after surgery.  ________________________________ From: Clarence Grim <lowerbp2@...> hyperaldosteronism Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 6:03:17 AM Subject: Re: chicken pox Classic story for PA. Can you get BPs before and after pregnancy. Headaches almost certainly due to PA and will go away with control of your PA. When was low K discovered? You cannot give us too much information. Guest guest
Contact helios homeopathic pharmacy and speak to pharmacist... Rhus Tox is the common remedy though I recall been given a second remedy to be taken about a fortnight after the spots had dried to ensure that any residual chicken pox in the system were removed.... Have heard that the pox residuals can create neural issues...   Best wishes    Tracey On Mon, Jul 6, 2009 at 12:41 PM, jane300769 <jane@...> wrote: HiMy 7 year old son has got chicken pox! Guest guest
My son had chicken pox in March. I use homeopathy so definately call Helios. They are very helpful. The one after affect we found with Sam was we think the virus went to Sams bowels and it caused him constipation and more loading problems more than normal and it lasted a couple of months afterwards. Just something to flag up and keep an eye on just in case!!!
