Guest guest
I forgot to ask. Both my husband and I had chicken pox when we were young. So if my kids get it should we be concern about shingles or does shingles just come about due to stress? Also I work with kids part-time. Should I also avoid them in the meantime? Guest guest
Exposure to chickenpox is an excellent PROTECTION against shingles. Even though my kids have had chickenpox, I will continue to seek out chickenpox parties every several years to get the protection from shingles. There will be no need at all for you to avoid anybody. You will not become contagious from being exposed to chickenpox. > > I forgot to ask. Both my husband and I had chicken pox when we were young. Guest guest
When you are asked why you don't vaccinate, it's simple. As them if they have ever read the ingredients in vaccines or if they have ever read the vaccine inserts? They will say no. And that opens the door for you to tell people what the inserts say and what the ingredients are. For one, with chickenpox, the vaccine contains human aborted fetal cells -- that is truth, the CDC verifies it on their website, and a lot of people's eyes are opened when I tell them that too.Hope this helps :-)
Guest guest
To be accurate, the chickenpox vaccine contains DNA and cellular protein (not complete cells) from the MRC-5 aborted human fetus. http://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines/ApprovedProducts/UC\ M142813.pdf It also contains fetal bovine serum, which is collected via heart puncture of a cow fetus, which should be disturbing to any vegetarian. http://tools.invitrogen.com/content/sfs/productnotes/F_FBS%20Qualified%20RD-MKT-\ TL-HL0506021.pdf > > When you are asked why you don't vaccinate, it's simple. Guest guest
I would ask them why they're worried about CP? Put it on them to answer you, rather than defend yourself. Make people think about what they're asking. Tell them you're happy your kids are getting it. Maybe add the vaccine doesn't work anyway, so why bother. We used homeopathic Rhus Tox on my three kids who got it. It helped a lot. We didn't do anything else. There are other homeopathic remedies to choose from but that's what we used. Good luck! It will be over soon enough. Winnie Chicken PoxVaccinations > Well, the pox has finally hit our house.........I think it > started with me getting shingles about a month ago. Guest guest
I got shingles last year and our 5 children ended 4/5 children ended up with chicken pox. Yes, I , too, was very distressed that at 46 I was getting would I considered an " old person's " problem. Anyway, we used Rhus Tox and oatmeal baths. Each child had different severity levels and different reactions. It was particularly unpleasant for our middle daughter who got them in her throat, ears and near her eyes. Make sure that you take it easy, as it's likely going to be harder on your body than theirs! Why do you need to tell them that you don't vaccinate? Unless directly asked, " Are your children vaccinated for chicken pox " , I wouldn't volunteer any personal medical information. My response to the question " Are your child's vaccinations up to date? " is always " Yes. " And, that's it. As far as I'm concerned they are up to date and current. I currently don't vaccinate and therefor am up to date (I don't say that part, naturally.) On the forms that say " I understand that I am putting my children and other children at risk by not vaccinating " I cross out understand and write above it " do not understand " and then try not to see that agency/person again.
