I would tell them to keep telling themselves that because if/when their child has a serious reaction which leaves them crippled, brain-damaged, or dead, they'll be singing a different tune. Oh, and they ought to get over their delusion that the vaccine will protect because even those who are making milliions on vaccines won't promise a thing.

Well honestly, I have learned a few things about this. 1. when a momma has a sick baby due to something she did, telling her something like "this is why I don't" usually causes a HUGE explosion, because it is almost like placing blame on a momma who probably didn't know any better. I am not saying this to attack you in anyway, I have learned this myself from experience, unfortunately. Working is everything, and I usually chose the wrong ones! 2. fb is a horrible place to start any kind of vaccine debate - you will always find people who think YOU are the devil for not vaccinating your children, and most moms who support vaccines do so til they die, and will not see your point of view, just call you a bad parent, and 3. a naturally contracted disease can't possible be worse for a child then injecting them with all sorts of poisons and lowering the immune system in the process, and mommas who can't see this don't want the burden of having to do any more research on the subject, they want to blindly trust their peds because that is easier, and less work.I tend to bite my tongue when it comes to public discussions with people I don't know about vaccines. If I were you, I would forget what they are saying, and send a private msg to the momma, apologizing if it caused any upset on her page, and provide her with information on vaccines, and maybe suggest some websites for her to look at, and offer to be available with any other info if you can. Just think of how she'll feel getting back from the ER with her sick kiddo and seeing a long debate about how she hurt her own child : (I am assuming you didn't choose to not vaccinate so that you can spend all your time defending your decision. I know I certainly did not, and while I like to be able to offer an uninformed momma some kind info on not vaxing, I have decided to be happy about my decision not to vax, ready to share a tid bit of info about vaccines, without stating anything that may make any mom feel bad for doing what she thought she was trusting her Dr with, and try to keep it all private. Now that being said, I do also share info publicly on my page with facts about vaccines, and just don't comment on them. Have had too many battles. The ones who want to read it will, the ones who don't won't. If someone was on the fence, I know I provided info to help, and I ignore the comments.I understand that this goes against trying to help inform people about vaccines and the harmful effects on them, but unless I am 100% prepared for a fight, and to spend the day defending my choice for my children, I just don't comment. I guess I pick my battles, defend when I need to, comment when I need to, and try to be informative without spending all my time defending WHY my children are not pumped full of poison, and thankful they are healthy.Hope this helps. I would just let it go. I get WAY too upset over these things, and place like fb is just a fueled fire of uniformed people : ( I WOULD however, follow up with the momma, offer her resources, and info on anything I think can be helpful in her situation. This whole topic makes me crazy. I have very good friends who post pics of their babies getting shots, pics of their chubby little legs with 4-6 band aids on them, and then post for the next few days how the baby doesn't sleep, cries all the time, has a fever, and the Dr says this is normal, and THEN pump them full with meds - usually tylenol AND ibuprofen on an alternating schedule around the clock (GASP!) I try to send over information about that when I can, but I had a very good friend post she was standing in the rain for hours and hours with her kids to get the H1N1 vax last year, and I just don't get it, and why people don't do just a little research. : ( I tend to be able to pick up on the people who are willing to discuss it, and the people who are not. I don't bother any more with the ones who do not. I can't change everyone's mind, and even when I try, it winds up being energy wasted, and feelings (mine) hurt.Good luck. : ) CrisantiIndependent Team Beachbody CoachI lost 115 lbs in 14 months the RIGHT way, and got healthier while getting into shape! You're right, of course. Debates go nowhere and people who vaccinate will continue to until something goes wrong. I have a new policy to make one comment and then that's it. I do it for those who might be looking on, not those who clearly have their closed minds sewn up.

People post pics of their kids getting vaccinated? Why?? To prove they're "good parents?" Egads.

I have not figured out the "why" yet - a part of me feels like maybe they want people to know they did it, or maybe they have a little guilt after the fact and want people to comment to make hem feel better. I go absolutely insane because one of my oldest, best friends in the whole world has a mother AND sister who work as pediatric nurses, and she thinks the sun rises and sets in the words of her Dr. We got into a debate a while back because her infant son was bfing and he was having reflux and digestive issues and I suggested that she play with her diet until she figures it out. She went NUTS, telling me that they make meds for a reason, and why would she eliminate food she liked when she could just give him something for it : ( When the meds didn't help, she just stopped because it was too much work. And she is sweet, and a great mother, but just SO uneducated and does not put any effort into anything regarding her kids, because her family is in the "kid business". Well then is that *really* being a “great” mother when you’re so brainwashed that you can’t open your mind to better alternatives? To me it’s not. sure she loves her son but she’s hurting him in her ignorance and head in the sand mentality! Nita, mom to: 18, Jon 16, 14, 12, 9, Christian (7/16/03 to 8/22/04), 5, Isaac 3 and , born 3/1/11http://momof6.dotphoto.com for possibly current pictures and http://nitasspot.blogspot.comLearn from the mistakes of others. Story of my life. I grew up without vaccines, and saw classmates with leg braces. I bit my tongue in all of my science and health classes. Later I zipped my lip during parent discussions about vaccines, vaccine reactions, and the need for school vaccines. All moms have differing opinions on diapering of babies or potty training, but the discussion is cordial and respectful. Let the subject veer over to vaccinations, pro, con, or delayed/selective, and the fit hits the shan. This is a hot button topic. I suspect it is because people do not want to take on that much responsibility to do the research, so they leave it up to the doctor; yet, people really are apprehensive and

have a deep level of guilt when they see what the vax does to their child, so deep they do not admit it to themselves. ~ Maureen R. Gradvohl ~ From: michelle crisanti <canyon13@...>Vaccinations Sent: Fri, June 10, 2011 5:21:32 AMSubject: Re: Measles vaccine on FB

2. fb is a horrible place to start any kind of vaccine debate - you will always find people who think YOU are the devil for not vaccinating your children, and most moms who support vaccines do so til they die, and will not see your point of view, just call you a bad parent, and 3. a naturally contracted disease can't possible be worse for a child then injecting them with all sorts of poisons and lowering the immune system in the process, and mommas who can't see this don't want

the burden of having to do any more research on the subject, they want to blindly trust their peds because that is easier, and less work.I tend to bite my tongue when it comes to public discussions with people I don't know about vaccines. I know I certainly did not, and while I like to be able to offer an uninformed momma some kind info on not vaxing, I have

decided to be happy about my decision not to vax, ready to share a tid bit of info about vaccines, without stating anything that may make any mom feel bad for doing what she thought she was trusting her Dr with, and try to keep it all private. I guess I pick my battles, defend when I need to, comment when I need to, and try to be informative without spending all my time

defending WHY my children are not pumped full of poison, and thankful they are healthy.Hope this helps. I would just let it go. I get WAY too upset over these things, and place like fb is just a fueled fire of uniformed people : ( I WOULD however, follow up with the momma, offer her resources, and info on anything I think can be helpful in her situation. This whole topic makes me crazy. I have very good friends who post pics of their babies getting shots, pics of their chubby little legs with 4-6 band aids on them, and then post for the next few days how the baby doesn't sleep, cries all the time, has a fever, and the Dr says this is normal, and THEN pump them full with meds - usually tylenol AND ibuprofen on an alternating schedule around the clock (GASP!) I try to send over information about that when I can, but I had a very good friend post she was standing in the rain

for hours and hours with her kids to get the H1N1 vax last year, and I just don't get it, and why people don't do just a little research. : ( I tend to be able to pick up on the people who are willing to discuss it, and the people who are not. I don't bother any more with the ones who do not. I can't change everyone's mind, and even when I try, it winds up being energy wasted, and feelings (mine) hurt.Good luck. : ) CrisantiIndependent Team Beachbody CoachI lost 115 lbs in 14 months the RIGHT way, and got healthier while getting into

Do you think she would be rushing to the hospy if the child had measles? Ignore them. Educate yourself. You did the right thing. Be proud. Go to vaccine information network or inside vaccines, both on fb. Good luck. ~ Maureen R. Gradvohl ~ From: Agatha Dziedziech <adziedziech@...>To:

I agree 100%. But I work with a lot of people who don't know any better, and while that makes no sense to me, many were raised in a way to trust their Drs and health care professionals, and don't see anything wrong with it. All my friends and family think there is something wrong with ME for questioning them at all! Not saying that what they do is right, but we are all just human, and some just don't know any better. Trust me, I think they are WAY wrong. I know it is not an excuse, but when you have trusted your Dr all your life, and he says they are safe, and that tylenol is safe, if you have never questioned anything before, or don't do any of your own research on anything, why would you question your Dr? I mean heck, he IS all knowing, right? I don't get the Dr = God, trust me I don't. But pretty much everyone I know thinks this. Very, very sad. I battled with people for a very long time. Now I just state what I feel is right, smile, and look the other way. I would love to educate everyone, but when I am going against the grain or the norm, I ruffle a lot of feathers, start a lot of fights, and get nowhere. I can't tell you the people I work with on a daily basis. I am half way through my masters in nutrition, and plan to work with people who wish to eat healthy, and learn about food, and how it affects them. When I tell someone that their symptoms signal a dairy allergy or sensitivity people go THROUGH THE ROOF! How could dairy possibly be bad? My Dr says it is GREAT! : ( Asking people to give up cheese is like asking them to not breathe. Most would rather take a pill then mess with food to affect how they feel. Sad. : ) CrisantiIndependent Team Beachbody CoachI lost 115 lbs in 14 months the RIGHT way, and got healthier while getting into shape! You can too! And she is sweet, and a great mother, but just SO uneducated and does not put any effort into anything regarding

her kids, because her family is in the "kid business". I just don't get people AT ALL : ( : ) CrisantiIndependent Team Beachbody CoachI lost 115 lbs in 14 months the RIGHT way, and got healthier while getting into shape! You can too! Ask me

Some people don't know their children. They're very hands-off. That is probably more irresponsible than anything, to leave that knowing up to others.

Have you ever read, Confessions of a Medical Heretic, by Dr. Mendelsohn? He addresses the G-d issue quite well in all aspects of the medical practices and field. Dr. Mendelsohn also wrote the forward to Slaughter of the Innocent and The Naked Empress by Hans Reusch, books about animal experimentation; he addresses the problem of animal experimentation and "sacrifice" in medical school - he said that at the end of an experiment, the medical student sacrifices the animal. He asks, in Slaughter ..., "who/what are you sacrificing the animal to?" This is on www.youtube.com also. ~ Maureen R.

No, they don't want to research it. Or they think reading the info sheets the doc hands them IS research. Back when I was a new parent in 1990, where else would you get info, especially if you had no qualms about vaccinating? I had no internet, no computer and no concerns anyway. I knew good parents got their children vaccinated.

It is so true that if you dare mention anything anti-vaccine, people are shocked, perhaps at our supposed ignorance? Especially online, they are so crazed and insulting. Can you imagine someone trying to decide on medical treatment for whatever and being attacked and berated for looking at options?

Not that I have a god syndrome but my mom still does.. she’s a nurse and says she’s used to following orders. ‘whatever your dentist tells you to do, you do”.. no… I don’t. I had a wacky dentist tell me that I needed a deep cleaning . no I didn’t. he also wouldn’t treat unless you paid up front, even leaving a bunch of post dated checks.. I thought that was wonky. I don’t know how you can go into nutrition knowing what you do!! I was thinking about that today but if I was in a class and being told saturated fats were bad and that canola oil was good, I think I’d die laughing. I certainly wouldn’t be able to keep my mouth shut to those lies.. how do you handle it? And yeah.. I love cheese. I’d rather whatever wrong w/ me, won’t take a pill to save it but I’m gonna eat cheese. Cheese makes everything better but I do wish I could get raw milk cheese instead of high temp past. crap Nita, mom to: 18, Jon 16, 14, 12, 9, Christian (7/16/03 to 8/22/04), 5, Isaac 3 and , born 3/1/11http://momof6.dotphoto.com for possibly current pictures and http://nitasspot.blogspot.comLearn from the mistakes of others. Trust me... you can't live long enough to make them all yourself. . Sad.

I take what I can, and take outside classes and modify what I need to for when I will practice. I am on a break now to raise my twins, but when I go back I will do that. It is hard, but I have gotten really good at biting my tongue, because I know my opinions are different then everyone's. But I have helped a lot of people, and it is hard to argue that an all natural diet of lean proteins, veggies, fruits, whole grains, and healthy fats is bad for you. We don't eat anything from a package, and I teach that to people who are interested. As for dairy, milk and milk products are not for humans, they are for baby cows. Even cows stop drinking milk after infancy. As long as people understand that, and eat everything in moderation then they will be fine. Most people consume tons of dairy all day long, and don't understand that most humans don't have the enzyme we need to digest it past the age of 5, and think it is healthy. Then they wonder why they have eczema, ear infections, PCOD, and anything else that has been linked to dairy. I understand loving something, but I don't understand the people who put their kids on steroids to get rid of eczema but refuse to take them off dairy just to see. I would rather try ANYTHING then give my kids meds. And with our diet, and not vaxing, I have 3 kids that are never sick, and have never ever taken any medication. I think that says something : ) But as I said, I just don't expect everyone to think the way I do. I do what I do for my family. If people see and want to learn, I share : ) If not, that's up to them. : ) CrisantiIndependent Team Beachbody CoachI lost 115 lbs in 14 months the RIGHT way, and got healthier while getting into shape! I hear you, but I just want to throw it out there that the kids and I have been consuming raw diary (milk, kefir and cheese from cows and goats) for about 7 years now, and none of us have had the health problems you mention. No allergies, gut issues, ear infections, weight issues, inflammations or anything--we are healthy and thriving. From my research and first hand experience with others who switched to raw, I truly believe it is pasteurized dairy--even "organic" that causes all those ailments.

Yes RAW milk is the stuff that is good for you which is why big corp dairies banded to get  it banned! Well from a scientific standpoint, we as humans are born with the enzyme lactase, meant to digest the lactose in breast milk. In more then 60% of americans this is gone by the age of 5. But I am not talking about raw dairy. That is not what is readily available to the public. It is illegal here, and in many states. I do understand that it is more digestible, and better for you then what is available. If I had a choice, and thought it was needed in our diet, I would chose raw over not. But I personally wouldn't buy dairy illegally or go out of state for it - there are plenty of ways to get all the nutrients elsewhere. To me eating dairy is a luxury, not a necessity : ) And I do enjoy it from time to time as well. Everything in moderation. But it isn't needed for a healthy diet. Most average americans think milk if the healthiest drink for their families. It is advertised that way. And those same people who listen to their Drs religiously are the ones who drink it without a question, regardless of symptoms. : ) CrisantiIndependent Team Beachbody CoachI lost 115 lbs in 14 months the RIGHT way, and got healthier while getting into shape! I agree. It’s like with everything. My mom is celiac…so yes, wheat IS good for you..but..not for all and not for mom. So it’s good for some and not good for some.. I would buy it illegally b/c it’s my body and my money and I don’t think the gov’t has any business regulating that much into my life.. I live by the rules that make sense and are good for keeping safe.. but me drinking raw milk hurts nobody else, so I would engage in some civil disobedience to get it. I got real close to doing a cow share but the program got shut down I think.. something happened b/c the cow share program suddenly went bye-bye w/ nothing said except ‘we’re not able to do that right now’..so I don’t know. Maybe a family thing happened.. dunno. I just did a survey for something.. I can’t say and I can’t recall either so it doesn’t matter.. but one of the questions was ‘if my doctor recommended this, would it make me.. likely to use it”..and I’m like hell no. much LESS likely to use it thankyouverymuch! I found it very interesting, when I had my parakeet in for some vet work and sitting in the waiting room while they thinned the dose of medicine for her down and down and down.. it took a while. All the pets coming in for their annual shots and some owners asked ‘well why do I need this if we just got it X weeks ago’ and they were all very much ‘well the manufacturer recommends X amount of doses”.. the manufacturer suggests….. They never once said it in the we give this or you should give this. It was always the manufacturer recommends.. I found that very interesting. One thing to keep in mind is that milk can block other nutrients from being absorbed, too. I do agree with both of you, though. Milk is for baby cows and pasteurized is the worst.
