Guest guest
Wow--over 2,000 comments, too. Any doctor that would turn you away, well, it's good to know where they stand ahead of time. I think it's great these articles are being written, though. It's evidence that enough of us are refusing. Guest guest
I recall Dr. Mendelsohn discussing this 30 years ago; he recommended that patients use general practitioners for whom vaccines are not a priority, or naturopaths, chiropractors, and other modalities instead - open up a little competition here. This has been a problem for paediatricians, but obviously getting worse for them. There was also recently an article about how doctors are complaining that they have to take lots of time during their day to explain to patients how safe vaccines are. Poor doctors. Parents actually want to know the contents of the vaccines and the possible side effects on their children. Why would a parent not trust a doctor on this? ~ Maureen R. Guest guest
I’ve got a good one for you. When I mentioned to our previous pedi about aborted fetus cell lines in certain vaccines, he said it was not true. He pulled out the insert on a certain vaccine and sure enough - - diploid cells. He did not apologize for his ignorance though. Guest guest
Of course not, although we could give him credit and say he was shocked speechless. Guest guest
I recently took my son to the pediatrician for a "check up" to get a vaccination form signed for kindergarten. He was partially vaccinated as we were pretty much forced into it up until he was about 14 months as he was adopted. I needed the form for school signed by a doctor as to the vaccinations he already had gotten in another state. I was using the religious exemption on the form to decline further vaccinations. The nurse looked at me like I was weird or something. Then she came back in with a vaccine policy from the practice and a lengthy form for me to sign about my refusal to vaccinate. I did not sign the form! The doctor then came in and proceeded to tell me that my concern about vaccines being derived from aborted fetal tissue was not founded as the only one that use to be was Rubella and that was in the 50's and 60's only. He then told me that there was a doctor in England who falsified a bunch of data to scare people and that now MMR rates are up in European countries. He also mentioned that there was one death once after a child had received several vaccinations, but they determined afterward that he had a rare metabolic disorder and that his system could not handle the stress. What a "party line" these so called doctors are pushing....lies and weak arguments! He then proceeded to tell me that I was being selfish because I could potentially be exposing other kids. He also informed me that my son could no longer go to their practice if he was not fully vaccinated. Needless to say, I will not be going back there! I was fortunately able to find another pediatrician in this relatively small city in South Dakota who does accept kids without requiring them to be vaccinated, so at least I can get the form signed. This really makes me wonder if sometime in the future they will really start forcing everyone to be vaccinated as the government sees fit. I agree everyone needs to stand up to this as they will continue to take more and more rights away from parents if we don't.From: maureen gradvohl <mrsvoltaire@...>"Vaccinations " <Vaccinations >Sent: Sat, July 16, 2011 8:07:59 AMSubject: Re: recent article about pediatricians taking stand for vaccination I recall Dr. Mendelsohn discussing this 30 years ago; he recommended that patients use general practitioners for whom vaccines are not a priority, or naturopaths, chiropractors, and other modalities instead - open up a little competition here. Guest guest
It's a good thing you got rid of that other doc. No one needs an ignorant liar caring for their kids! I'm curious, though. What is it that the ped has to sign if you have a religious exemption? What state are you in?
