Guest guest
Hi everyone, I really need your help to strengthen my resolve to not vaccinate my kids. I am a mom of 4 and we haven't vaccinated our kids since our youngest was born who is now 4 years old. (My oldest is the only one who was fully vaccinated). I have been pretty confident of our decision to stop vaccinating the kids. However, the recent whooping cough illnesses has been making me nervous. Two of my kids have asthma and one of them always ends up having bad vomiting spells when she gets sick with a cold. The vomiting spells often keep her from eating for 2 to 3 days and a couple of time she has been hospitalized for dehydration. So, I am really scared of what whooping cough would do if my kids get infected by it. I just found out this weekend that our friend's kids have the whooping cough and have been sick for at least 50 days now. Hearing that whooping cough is now close to home I am really getting nervous for my kids. A part of me is thinking if I vaccinate them then they wouldn't have to go through that terrible sickness. It is hard enough to see my daughter sick with a common cold and vomit so much that I just can't imagine how she would handle an even worse sickness. I want to do what is right for my kids.
