Guest guest
(http://www.khou.com/video?id=121508779 & sec=548352) Why Measles Found New Life in U.S. A few things said: Before vaccine, this was a significant disease, with several million cases and 500 deaths per year, and it was 99% eradicated by the vaccine Those who get it here largely aren’t vaccinated No deaths so far So highly contagious that 90% exposed will get it; can live on dry surfaces for two hours so "highly, highly contagious" 1 in 3 develop complications that can be life threatening, most over age 20 susceptible Start with "very, very" high fever of 104 (very, very? I don't consider that even "very") No treatment, except for complications. It just runs its course. Two vaccines, one includes CP 1st dose is given at 12-15 months, 2nd 4-6 years interesting because when my oldest children were little in the 1990's there was no second one. Then a second one was decided on for 7th grade. When did this shift to 4-6 years? When they decided to combine it with CP for convenience rather than the previous supposed need for 7th grade?
