Naturally acquired immunity and pertussis or meningitis?

Question. We know that having natural pertussis doesn't provide

natural immunity, and we know that having tetanus doesn't provide natural

immunity, but does this also apply to meningitis? Can you get

" natural acquired immunity " from meningitis, either viral or

bacterial? Or like the other two, can you say a vaccine is

pointless because the illness itself doesn't provide immunity in the

future?

Good question!

Most things blamed on bacteria, there is no immunity for - like strep

throat - you can get more than once and it is the same with any of those

things.

And with meningitis blamed on bacteria, there are many strains of each

bacteria - many strains that they say cause HIB meningitis, Meningitis C,

pneumomoccal meningitis.

Diseases that are " blamed on viruses " seem to be the ones that

you get lifelong immunity for. (although I'm not sure viruses cause

anything - they may just be messengers between cells - they are not

living)

But do bacteria or viruses cause these illnesses or are they the

result. Is the bacteria (which is present even in those healthy)

actually causing the disease or cleaning up the mess and if the health of

the host is compromised may not be able to tolerate the toxins produced

while the bacteria clean up the mess.

Is the virus blamed on causing the illness, really causing it, or a

messenger present and nothing to do with the cause.

There is much that we don't know because of the track that allopathy went

on with Pasteur and others beyond him (in mid 20th century trying to

proved viruses caused cancer and then when that didn't work, needing

something else to keep funding and labs open and virologists employed -

this big kick on viruses causing everything else).

But then again, how many have we heard of who get Meningitis C more than

once, or HIB meningitis more than once, or pertussis more than once

etc. I have never heard of that.
