Guest guest
I'm preparing to go for my son's 18 month appointment tomorrow. He hasn't had any shots since he was 2 months and I don't plan on getting any tomorrow. (I think he had 3 vaccinations total, but one was DTaP so probably 5 altogether) The good news is that I am with a new Doctor and feel much more comfortable - at my previous place I was starting to get sick before visits and had gotten many comments. As I'm looking over some stuff for tomorrow I was surfing and came across this article: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11023/1120082-114.stm Please dissect away. There are so many articles out there who make people who don't vaccinate sound crazy, irresponsible, etc. It depresses me. This woman's post from 2 years ago seems to feel that the science backing vaccinations is much better or that there isn't really science backing not vaccinating: http://shine./channel/parenting/why-i-feel-duped-by-the-anti-vaccine-mo\ vement-528740 I have thought quite the opposite - it seems like many studies for vaccinations don't hold up to scrutiny. I hope I will come to peace with my decision eventually. It gets easier all the time but clearly I am not all the way there yet. Thanks for listening/reading- ps On the other hand I've been feeling a lot of regret... guilt and remorse over the vaccines my daughter and son did receive - my daughter seems to always have a runny nose and can't kick colds and I wonder about her immune system...
