Guest guest
I have a request for help from a lady who got her two kids vaccinated with Prevnar recently and that night the boy started twitching and couldn't sleep. The girl started vomiting and running a fever. Then a few days later she started twitching too. The mother videoed the twitching and showed it to the ped, who said there is nothing wrong with either child. The boy had a history of febrile seizures, the girl did not. Then the ped said that the boy might have PANDA (don't know what that is) and referred him to a neurologist. Both kids are very sick, but ped denies vaccines had anything to do with it. Mom is desperate and doesn't know how to help her kids. Is there anyone that can help? She's in California. Joanna.
Guest guest
PANDAS is something they have labeled a chronic or an exacerbation of strep The mom too? Weird. I would refer her to a homeopath I work with Where is she in California? Guest guest
What kind of twitching? I think PANDAS twitching would seem like a tic. Like something a person could physically stop for a minute if they absolutely had to and gave all their concentration on it. PANDAS can be treated with antibiotics, a skilled homeopath, and/or a skilled osteopathic physician. http://www.cranialacademy.org/search.html?Submit=Accept Look for one with the highest percentage of patients treated with cranial, and one with an asterisk (meaning they are certified). The doctor would feel around the skull for the basal ganglia (I have no idea how they can feel something in the middle of the brain from touching the skull, but a really good one can. I'm not convinced it is PANDAS though, from the description. But still, a homeopath or a cranial osteopathic physician would be helpful, and also a DAN! doctor. http://www.autism.com/pro_danlists_us.asp I'd stay away from neurologists. They are usually worse than useless. And of course she should report the reactions to VAERS. http://vaers.hhs.gov/resources/VAERS_Brochure.pdf > > I have a request for help from a lady who got her two kids vaccinated with Prevnar recently and that night the boy started twitching and couldn't sleep. Guest guest
No, the mom is not affected too, it's the boy and his sister who were both vaccinated with prevnar. One is 2 years old and the other is 4 and a half. She's somewhere called Riverside. I have her contact details and have emailed her to ask if I can pass her details on to you. As it's nearly midnight here in the UK I am off to bed in a minute so I won't be able to get back to you about it until tomorrow. I feel awful for those poor little kids. Joanna. Guest guest
Sheri, You mentioned below that you have a contact in California you work with. Is there a website you recommend where I can search for one in my city? Do you have someone you recommend or work with in Pittsburgh? Any guidance would greatly be appreciated! Thank you so much! Guest guest
Taking the advice of a doctor who doesn't know a vaccine reaction when it's staring him in the face, or denies the obvious, is not a good idea. For the doc to say it's PANDAS is ridiculous. A quick google check (http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/cgi/content/full/113/4/883) describes what PANDAS stands for: "Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated With Streptococcal Infection" and is associated with OCD-type behaviors. One of my sons we believe has had this so I know a little (very little) about it. Forget PANDAS, and forget going to a neurologist or her blind ped. She needs real help if her children are vaccine-injured. I'd start with a good alternative doctor. Surely CA has many and hopefully someone here can give you a recommendation. Poor kids.
