Lymph node

I have a 15 yr old daughter who also has a pretty large lymph node in

her neck. The MD of course wants her to take antibiotics to see if

there is an infection in the node itself(strep throat culture was

negative). Natural doctor that I went to did applied kinesiology and

said it was strep just not in her throat???? She has been taking

pharmaceutical grade colloidal silver, homeopathic lymph drain and

heavy duty probiotics. The node still isn't shrinking. She has had

it about 6 weeks.

She has been sick with cough, sore throat, yeast issues and she just

started menstruating last month for the first time.

I would love to hear any other stories with regard to lymph nodes. I

know they are a very important part of your immune system, but I also

know they can indicate more serious problems.

It sounds to me as if her immune system is not up to par for a number of reasons, and the lymph node swelling is part of that. I'd look at it as it doing its job. My son had something similar that lasted a long time, and is still a little lumpy.

This came up recently I think on the OT4vax group. Are you in that group? A lot of us from here are. You can sign up here: (ot4vax) and I'm sure someone will have some thoughts on it.

Did your doc do the fast strep test or the culture?
