I think it will be a beautiful experience. I was even considering a water

birth. I definitely do not want any drugs. I do some research in regards

to this. Here in the states, everything is illegal. It could be a crime

for me to have my baby at home.

I had a natural birth with my first child and I did use some drugs the

hospital prescribed, but I didn't know any better then. Now, I'm fully

aware.

I really appreciate you sharing your birth experiences with me.

Have a home birth, then. If you want one, go for it.

Personally I have 5 children and the last 2 were both home births and

they were brilliant. I loved it. The first home birth was

painless, and I mean that, totally painless (I was talking on the phone

at the time when she arrived faster than I thought) and my son's birth

was only mild discomfort and I had no drugs at all, no gas and air

etc.

With the 3 hospital births I was in agony because they made me lie on a

bed and then they cut me with the first one by force and I was in so much

pain I couldn't breast feed or even walk and it was like that for 2

weeks. I was pumped full of drugs and was still in more pain than I

was with my unmedicated home births!

Go for it, you honestly won't regret it. Of course I don't know how

easy it is to get a home birth in the States as I'm from the UK but I

presume that people can have one.

Certainly if there were any at birth vaccines here I wouldn't go anywhere

near a hospital.

I have been searching for a while and cannot find a definitive answer

to this question.

Are vaccines mandatory in the UK like they are in the US?

If so, are there similar exemptions?
