There's only a normal flu outbreak and it said on the radio that cases are similar than in previous years. I am just getting over the flu which I had at Christmas. There have been a few cases of H1N1 people in intensive care or dying but they all had pre-existing conditions so I personally don't think it was the H1N1. For instance, there has been a 9 year old in intensive care, supposedly with H1N1 but she has severe asthma and had already been in hospital loads of times before that.

Hi all,Just heard from neighbors that there's some sort of killer flu outbreak in the UK and that I'd better get vaxxed....I tried to find info on the outbreak (not on the vax....we don't do that in this household!) and can't find any. Is this a bunch of hooey? Thanks,

And don't forget that most flu cases were called H1N1 last year, just based on symptoms.

Plus, afterwards they (whoever they are) were saying most cases were probably just colds anyway!

Funny, except for the very occasional announcement of a vaccine clinic, swine or any flu has been noticeably absent from any news I've watched or read about. And compared to last year, when there were several articles a day in our local paper, there is NOTHING.

Plus, I don't know of anyone who has had the flu, either. People around us are pretty healthy this year, too.

Thanks for the link and the info. Just as I thought - a bunch of hooey!!! What

kills me now is that *if* you have the flu you need to get to your doctor for a

diagnosis.....seriously???? How about just staying home and staying in bed!!!!
