Guest guest Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 Last week I expressed my worries about taking our third little one for her 2 month check up. I was worried the vaccines would be forced, the Vit. D drops would be a big discussion, etc. I have to say our ped continues to impress me. She asked if I was giving the Vit. D drops and I said nope, I am sure not. She said she didn't blame me, that those things stink, I was EBF, and she was frankly not worried about me not doing it. She then said ok, the baby hasn't had any vaccines, are you still delaying. I said yes I am. She said that's fine, do you think you will get them at all. I said I am not really sure and I am leaning towards no (which I won't be getting the baby any, but I was trying to not have a repeat of our last ped telling me I was an unfit parent especially since our other two children were present.) She said, ok, that's fine, and left it at that. She really tries hard to not recommend meds constantly and really tries to approach things from a natural position. I was very impressed at her reaction yesterday. Now it may change in the future, but I count yesterday as a victory. Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words last week when I was worried!
