Hi ,

there was a Lyme vaccination  some 20 years ago, but was pulled

back due to “lack of demandâ€. What happened was, that the vaccine had grave

side effects and led to symptoms similar to Lyme disease.

It is strange that this lady mentioned this, because that must

have been 60 years ago. I do not think that there was any TBE vaccine at that

time.

But as it seems that TBE does not exist in the US. If somebody

interesting that you post this question. I was reading my others local paper in

the " Ask the Doctor " section and this woman stated she was 70 years

old and remembered as a child ( i believe on the upper east coast) having been

vaccinated for ticks, and how painful and horrible of a vaccine it was and

wondered why they dont give it anymore....the doctor you could tell was

perplexed at her question. He stated there was a Lyme disease vax but it was

discontinued, but that wouldnt have been out when the 70 year old was a

child...i tried to briefly look it up and could find no info on it...
