Guest guest
Can someone please explain to me this vaccine chart http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/child/2010/10_0-6yrs-schedu\ le-pr.pdf. i am confused as to what the " yello " thick lines mean? according to the highlighted area it says " Range of recommended ages for all children except certain high-risk groups " what does that mean? why is DTaP highlighted at 15 months but we know ( and its stated on the chart as well) that its given well before then? the main reason i ask is because i am taking an immunology course and the chart given in my book , with the CDC website i provided ONLY contains the yellow bars you see. So for someone taking this course with no child and no idea about vaccines the chart really doesnt look so bad. If you look at it only by the bars then a child under 6 months only receives 2 vaccinations, rotavirus and Hep B and we all know that is a load of bull! I am going to bring this up to the teacher but i want to make sure i know what the " yellow " stands for. I appreciate any help you may have. tahnks tanya
