The research will examine the immune responses to the influenza vaccine in the mother and baby. It's safe and universally recommended that all pregnant women receive the flu vaccine. Women ages 18-39 who are in the second or third trimester of pregnancy are eligible to participate. Each woman will receive the flu vaccine and have her blood drawn four times over a six-month period. The study will be at the Vanderbilt Center for Women's Health, 719 Lane, Suite 27100.
