Hi all,My step grandson (12 on Sept. 19) is currently being dx'd with Willi Prader syndrome. He is short in stature, but overweight, has tourette's like facial tics, and as a baby was failure to thrive. Does anyone have experience with this, and can give us some help on what we can do for him? Thanks!

Is that the one where they can't stop eating?

I saw a few documentaries about it on tv. THEY advocated keeping food

away from him and locking ALL access to food since the person just

CAN'T stop eating.

I wonder if homeopathy would help.

I'd ask Sheri about this one.

All those symptoms would surely help a homeopathic professional pick

out a good remedy!

hth a little,

Hi there

I am sorry to hear about your step grandson,it is devestating news to find out that someone you love has a syndrome or illness. Prader Willi can be managed and you must try to stay positive. I do have direct experience as I do know someone with this syndrome who is a friend of my son fom swimming. swims for GB in the learning disability grou and is very active. He is about 16 now. I have not met him for a while, although my son sees him at competitions.

I am guessing you are in the States due to time of email so you could try http://www.pwsausa.org/

Good luck.
