Guest guest
I feel your pain and frustration. I will share my experience... My sister was born with 1 kidney which had massive reflux, and the other which had moderate. It was not discovered until she was about 3, at which point she'd had numerous UTI's. She was put on " preventative " anitbiotics around 2 yrs old. She still had breakthrough infections about every 3 months. Apparently about 60% of kids with ureter displacement still have breakthrough infections despite the abx. And these days they are ending up worse because they get super infections that are unable to be treated by the abx. My sister ended up having surgery which removed 1 kidney (shriveled to the size of a lima bean) and reimplanting the other kidney's ureter. The doctor who did this complained that the other kidney could have been saved if she hadn't just been treated with abx and nothing else. My own son was born with hydronephrosis, and I of course freaked out knowing this ran in the family. We did the VCUG, (one of the worst moments of my life) and found he had no reflux. He has never had a symptom, thank goodness. If I were you, i'd find out about the reflux or not (as horrible as the test is) and then NOT accept the abx since prophylactically they fail more often than not. But... my sister may well have died had she not had surgery to correct the issues she was born with. And remember: most vaccines actually coagulate in the kidneys so you certainly dont want to stress out those organs! My sister is now 40, and fine. I'm happy to say my son (completely unvaxed) is now the healthiest kid I know. The kidney thing is a non issue. It sounds like your child DOES have an issue, perhaps anatomically, like my sister. I would definitely try to keep her from the UTI's homeopathically if possible. I'm not sure if this kind of thing can be fixed entirely by homeopathy, but certainly if you can hang on for a few years a lot of kids do resolves this by... growing up. Sending you love and hope...
