Guest guest Posted July 9, 2010 Report Share Posted July 9, 2010 i was told by sheri when my daughter had a chance to go to a pox party, to wait until the baby was at least a year and to make sure both children were in perfect good health! so thats what i've been waiting for. my kids are the same as yours only now my son is 9 months and my daughter is 3... Guest guest Posted July 10, 2010 Report Share Posted July 10, 2010 I wouldn't go out of my way to expose them but there's no guarantee they'd get it anyway. My youngest is 11 and still hasn't gotten it. I don't worry about it any more than worrying that they should get any other diseases. I think people want their kids to get it as if chicken pox is special in that it's not a big deal. But neither are a lot of other diseases. If we had the same attitude about measles, mumps and rubella, for example, there would be way fewer vaccinated kids. But, no, I wouldn't want a cranky baby with CP if I could help it.
