In UK they have stopped Tetenus jabs at my some hospitals including mine. I had a nasty dog bite recently and was expecting the usual lecture. When nobody said a word about the jab I asked the nurse she said we have stopped because we found that the risks of side effects outweighed the benefits. I was speechless

It isn't about the rust. Rust doesn't cause tetanus. Its just that rusty nails are often out there in the dirt that might be contaminated with tetanus spores. When stepping on the nail and getting a puncture wound those spores might go into the foot too. Tetanus then develops in an area with no oxygen. But just allowing the wound to bleed freely and then washing out best you can with soapy water or epsom salts can remove any of the tetanus spores. Good wound care is your best defense. Tetanus is so very very rare and not everyone is fully vaccinated, especially adults. There are certain things programmed into us - fear programmed in. The reality is much different.Again - go to my webpagehttp://www.wellwithin1.com/tetanus.htmand read all you can there and then once you have informed yourself fully you can make your decision. I have much

more fear of the tetanus vaccine than of stepping on any nail.Sherilistowner>> Hey Sherri, What would i do if my son stepped on a rusty nail? This was our experience with a nasty, infected

dog bite as well. No booster given (antibiotics given).

Yes it must be new ruling or something. I know I was relieved. I had antibiotics as well.
