Guest guest Posted May 11, 2010 Report Share Posted May 11, 2010 Hi everyone, I m the one who is enrolling myself in massage therapy school and was asking about the alternative to the TB test to get admitted to school. Just wanted to say thanks to Sheri for posting the link to the labs for the alternative Quantiferon TB test labs. I went to one of the labs in Union Turnpike/ Lake Success part of NY. My doctor who I asked to give me the referral to the lab had never even heard of the Quantiferon test until I asked her! Then she googled it, and saw that it wasn t a figment of my imagination . My lab results have already come back negative so I can submit them to my school. I m so glad I didn t have to give in and get the traditional TB test. Again, thanks for the link Sheri. And also, thanks for all your other helpful info. I have a beautiful vax free (exept for his first set of vax at birth) 9 year old child happy and successful in a New York school due to a lot of the exemption info I learned from this group right after his birth.
