Gardasil Injury on NBC at 5 pm Eastern Time TUESDAY May 11

Rosemary Mathis from NC is on NBC this evening at 5 pm

eastern time. The programme gave a preview of this, see link below,

and once I get the full tv programme will send this to you.

Rosemary as you will see from her note below the word got out very

quickly about this and she has been inundated with emails and messages

from mothers and schools thanking her for working so hard to save their

daughters. I got into the link below, its short but gives a flavour

of what is to come. I am sure a lot more will come from this.

If you are able to watch Rosemary please do - wish I could join you

all. Hopefully this is just the start of a lot more to come.

I just got out of a meeting. I have been tied up all morning and

haven’t had a chance to check messages. A lady came running up to

me where I work. She went today to one of the larger Women’s

Practices for the Northwest North Carolina Area for a physical. It

just happens to be located in my county of Wilkes. Wilkes Women's

Care is ran by Dr. Blackwell. He is the doctor who I want

to go to for a PAP if I can convince her. She is really

fighting me on it as she is only 14, but I am afraid and want her to have

one. Anyway, the lady at work saw me on the news this morning,

then, she went to Dr. Blackwell’s office. She says he has Gardasil

poster’s everywhere, Gardasil Stationary, Gardasil Pens, etc. This

lady did not let her grandchild have Gardasil because she knows me from

work and knew why became ill. She said she was the first

patient in the office this morning and the phone started ringing off the

hook. She said another doctor was calling who saw me on the

news. He told Dr. Blackwell to watch the news at 5 because a mother

whose daughter was injured by Gardasil from Wilkes County was going to be

on the news. She said the doctors spoke for a while and she could

hear them and they didn’t talk negative about our side of the story,

etc. She said the doctors in our area are all calling around

asking their staff to watch the news. Then Dr. Blackwell ran out of

his office and gathered his staff around and said Ladies, please watch

the news at 5 today because a mother from Wilkes whose said her daughter

was injured by Gardasil will be on the news. He ordered

his staff to all watch the program. She said he didn’t say anything

negative, didn’t say it wasn’t caused by Gardasil, etc. She said it

got a lot of attention in his office this morning. Everyone was

scurrying around talking about it. I just got a call from my

friend at my pediatrics office and she is spreading the word down there

to watch the news at 5 today. My pediatrician will not like it but

that is not important now. There is only one pediatric clinic in

Wilkes so it will not be hard to figure out where my daughter became

ill.

I just checked the site and we are having hits from the local school

districts including my child’s district, etc. My phone at work is

ringing off the hook. Maybe the story is going to help. I am

getting emails thanking us for preventing injury to people’s children,

etc.

My son just called from his high school. He said teachers were

thanking him for the stand that we are taking with the website, spreading

the word, etc.

Ladies, don’t think for a minute that what we are doing isn’t making a

difference because it is. We are chipping away a little

at a time. I didn’t realize how much attention this would get in my

small area of the country, but the story hasn’t been shown yet and it is

spreading like wildfire.

Let’s all pray that this leads to bigger things and helps prevent injury

and harm to others.
