Guest guest
ok my daughter since she weaned, june 09, had some kind of cough or another almost constantly. one of which was swine flu, nov 09. at xmas we stayed with my mom and she came home healthy!!!! then jan 15. she got RSV, nebulizer, horrid cough, the works. she barely seemed to stop weezing and coughing and we went to my parents again in feb. and sick again !!!!! fever, ear infection, cough, the works!.. so since then she has had green/yellow junk coming out of her nose.. not runny, just dry crusties.. sorry for the detail but other wise healthy. then last week we went to cali again, she came home with my nieces cold.. runny nose fever cough. she is now down to coughing and blowing her nose only first thing in the morning. so i assumed she was on the mend.. and since her nose goo has been green/yellow for months i don't know if she is still considered contagious but she isn't coughing during the day. so we went to the park yesterday evening for an hour or two with some friends. today one of her friends (who she didn't really play with) is throwing up and has a fever.. and another two has a fever and cough, one of which was a baby she wasn't anywhere around. and the little girl she did play with most of the time is fine.. all her friends are vaxed and she is not at all. i'm over whelmed with guilt feeling like its my fault since my child was sorta sick.. sh se couldn't have infected them last night and they wake up this morning sick could she???? that seems too fast. right? also what do you think about the green/yellow nose goo all the time? its happening with my son, 7 months old, and i too. since february all three of us still showing signs of an 'infection " of some sort. should we be keeping ourselves locked up? thanks so humbly for your opinions..-- www.discoverytoyslink.com/mlefortwww.juiceplus.com/+ml76732 mindy-lefort.barefootbooks.comwww.shopmonet.com/rep/store/mindysminerals

Guest guest
yes mostly raw dairy. i make my own kefir and yogurt and some cheese. so just butter for the most part and occasional cheddar is pasteurized. Guest guest
Have you considered allergies to something? When my kids' allergies act up, it lowers their immune system, and they are more likely to catch something from other children. There seems to be a lot of viruses, and strep throat going around right now. No, they wouldn't get sick in one day from someone else. Does your family eat dairy products? Guest guest
I wouldn't do that - sometimes if the person's immune system isn't 100% they can't cope with the raw dairy. I know a toddler who ended up in hospital with e-coli from raw milk. Also, it is taking milk from another species which is fundamentally unnatural. The only milk a human baby is supposed to have is human milk.My children do have dairy products but very limited - I try to avoid it as much as possible as it isn't healthy and quite perverse if you think about it for long enough. We're the only species that drinks the milk of another species. No, they wouldn't get sick in one day from someone else. Does your family eat dairy products? Guest guest
I would stop the dairy products for about a month and see if there's any improvement. Dairy can cause just the symptoms you described. Something has to be causing it in all of you, something that is consistently being given or is in the environment. Otherwise, it would clear up. Guest guest
Plenty of people get e. coli from meat and spinach and lettuce too...it isn't always reasonable to give up all foods that could potentially make us sick, because they can be very beneficial as well. I think the kids would benefit from a period on the GAPS diet, which is a gut healing diet that deals with all manner of intolerances and health issues, including problems with dairy... Guest guest
the kids have never had a single vaccine, i of course have had all the ones i should have gotten growing up. the 3 yr old and I are on probiotics, C, d3, fish oil, and i'm on bee pollen. i have just started giving the 7 month old solids so now he'll start with the probiotics too. we also are really good eaters. but i will start to weed out all the processed stuff now. like i had mentioned, yes we do raw milk but its all fermented minus a little cheese and butter. so kefir and yogurt a lot already. we still do some grains but i'm gonna try cutting those out now.. Guest guest
I believe that children are sick due to generations of vaccines - period. Viruses are inherited in utero. Ex. their great-grandparent received the smallpox vax - more than likely they still have antibodies for it (meaning they are still infected with the disease) HOWEVER, all tests in the allopathoic world are faulty - meaning they could still be suffering from it and test negative. Trust me, my brother just went through it himself. Diet is also a factor. If your children eat a good diet, then thank God they weren't vaccinated based on what you are telling me - their bodies couldn't handle it. > > > > > > From: Mindy LeFort <decembermoon23@...> > > > > Subject: you opinions please > > Vaccinations , Oobakeep , > > lvmom > > Date: Thursday, May 27, 2010, 8:04 PM > > > > > > ok my daughter since she weaned, june 09, had some kind of cough or another > > almost constantly. one of which was swine flu, nov 09. at xmas we stayed > > with my mom and she came home healthy!!!! then jan 15. she got RSV, > > nebulizer, horrid cough, the works. she barely seemed to stop weezing and > > coughing and we went to my parents again in feb. and sick again !!!!! fever, > > ear infection, cough, the works!.. so since then she has had green/yellow > > junk coming out of her nose.. not runny, just dry crusties.. sorry for the > > detail but other wise healthy. then last week we went to cali again, she > > came home with my nieces cold.. runny nose fever cough. she is now down to > > coughing and blowing her nose only first thing in the morning. so i assumed > > she was on the mend.. and since her nose goo has been green/yellow for > > months i don't know if she is still considered contagiou s but she isn't > > coughing during the day. so we went to the park yesterday evening for an > > hour or two with some friends. > > > > today one of her friends (who she didn't really play with) is throwing up > > and has a fever.. and another two has a fever and cough, one of which was a > > baby she wasn't anywhere around. and the little girl she did play with most > > of the time is fine.. all her friends are vaxed and she is not at all. i'm > > over whelmed with guilt feeling like its my fault since my child was sorta > > sick.. sh se couldn't have infected them last night and they wake up this > > morning sick could she???? that seems too fast. right? > > > > also what do you think about the green/yellow nose goo all the time? its > > happening with my son, 7 months old, and i too. since february all three of > > us still showing signs of an 'infection " of some sort. should we be keeping > > ourselves locked up? > > > > thanks so humbly for your opinions.. > > > > -- > > www.discoverytoysli nk.com/mlefort<http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/mlefort> > > > > www.juiceplus. com/+ml76732 <http://www.juiceplus.com/+ml76732> > > mindy-lefort. barefootbooks. com <http://mindy-lefort.barefootbooks.com/> > > www.shopmonet. com/rep/store/ mindysminerals<http://www.shopmonet.com/rep/store/mindysminerals> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > -- > www.discoverytoyslink.com/mlefort > www.juiceplus.com/+ml76732 > mindy-lefort.barefootbooks.com > www.shopmonet.com/rep/store/mindysminerals >
Guest guest
, I find the exact opposite with my son: he has many, many food allergies, and I feel like since his immune system is on "heightened mode," he rarely, if ever, gets any sickness. Guest guest
I’d say his body is busy dealing w/ all those allergies then. still a taxed immune system Nita, and my crew: 17, Jon 15, 13, 11, 8, Christian (RIP: 7/16/03 to 8/22/04), 4 and Isaac, 2 http://momof6.dotphoto.com for not necessarily current pictures http://nitasspot.blogspot.com I'm like a snapdragon: half of me has snapped and the other is draggin' I find the exact opposite with my son: he has many, many food allergies, and I feel like since his immune system is on " heightened mode, " he rarely, if ever, gets any sickness. He's also not vax, so his immune system isn't compromised, but I'm curious what you think??
Guest guest
see this is what i think is that she has some kind of allergies, and her body is always fighting them, then she gets around someone sick and ALWAYS catches. i know her catching stuff is building her immune system for later, but it sucks to have to be locked up all the time because no one will play with us when she is sick.. Oh also whenever she gets sick, as soon as she starts recovering her eczema that i always think is gone comes back and worse than before. like right now her skin is cracked and bleeding on the inside of her elbows. and let me tell you living in vegas the weather gets over 80 and she wants in the water!! and sunscreen burns poor thing. now here is the worst part she starts preschool in a month.. only 2 days a week but man if she catches everything then i'm going to be paying for nothingOnh Sat, May 29, 2010 at 9:06 AM, Meghan Nolan <smitty9810@...> wrote: , I find the exact opposite with my son: he has many, many food allergies, and I feel like since his immune system is on " heightened mode, " he rarely, if ever, gets any sickness. Guest guest
That's very interesting you mention eczema. Dairy products and eczema are related. I strongly suggest you take her off of them. It won't hurt, although I know it seems hard at first. You feel as if you're depriving them of something nutritious. But dairy is a huge problem for a lot of kids and they don't need it to survive. You need to build up her immune system by staying away from the things she's allergic to, and by putting the good stuff into her. I would give her quercetin, too. Poor baby. Guest guest
meghan:I wasn't thinking food allergies. My children have seasonal allergies, and are not vaxed. My doctor told me that when kids have allergies, that it lowers their immune system, and they are more likely to get sick with a virus, or strep, etc... I do not give any allergy medicine. I have been giving them a teaspoon of elderberry every day, and that seems to help. I was also thinking of bee pollen.> >> >> > >>> >> No, they wouldn't get sick in one day from someone else. Guest guest
I would cut out ALL dairy, including the kefir, and she how she fares. You can always add the dairy back in if you find that isn't the culprit. My kids eat no dairy at all and are not lacking in health. Kids can have allergies and sensitivities even if they aren't vaxed. My two-year-old is living proof of that! I'd certainly look to diet for the cause. I would also look into getting a good classical homeopath and a pediatric chiropractor. I have been using homeopathy and chiropractic for my for a year now and we've seen quite a bit of improvement in his allergies. Incidentally, my kids and I were on the news recently, covering allergies and the benefits of chiropractic. Guest guest
we do have a great pediatric chiro, i haven't tried out any of our local homeopaths yet. but $ is SUPER tight that i just cant afford the $100/month to take her like she needs and i think thats what depresses me most. if we had unlimited income we would all be going weekly, i wouldn't be in pain, violet would be well, and so would my son.. sigh... cool article though !! Incidentally, my kids and I were on the news recently, covering allergies and the benefits of chiropractic. Guest guest
Thanks! Did you watch the video? Upper right corner, click in the box with the picture. Is it $100 per month to see your chiro? Maybe you could work out a deal with him/her... perhaps they would be willing to forego some of the charges for your little one if you go once a month or something, too. Never hurts to ask, the worst they can say is " no " . Chiropractic is always my first line of defense (and 2nd line of offense, after good nutrition)... it works SO well, and especially for kids! I hope your daughter experiences some relief soon! Guest guest
my chiro is awesome! she is $25 for the allergy treatment (she does specific treatment) then $25 for the adjustment. and she recommends both at the same time. i took her in when she came down with a sinus infection she got me in ASAP and by morning she was well at that time. so i'm a believer. my other issue is she is also like 30-35 miles from me. but i traveled that once a week for my pregnancy LOL. i like that you mention nutrition. my daughter is HORRIBLE about eating right when she is sick, whats up with that. she only wants cereal and hotdogs OH and french fries... those are things i don't feed her so i'm not sure why she craves them when she is sick.. today her eczema was sSO bad she was bleeding, and she broke out in hives after every meal!!! i'm so over this. we'll see how the bank looks on tuesday maybe i can get her in to my chiro.. Guest guest
I think the doctor has it backwards. It's because the immune system is lowered that the allergies occur. Maybe then that has a further effect of stressing the immune system because it's so busy coping with the allergies that other illnesses could occur. But you don't have allergies if you're immune system is functioning properly to begin with. Guest guest
I have been using raw local honey to fight seasonal allergies for the past three years and it works like a charm! I've sold my husband on it as well. The key is to get local honey. We start this a month or so before pollen season (horrible in Alabama) and just a tablespoon a day has done wonders for our family.
