Guest guest
I hope it is ok to post this here since I am not sure if vaccines played a part - yet. I posted two weeks ago about a friend's son who died in his sleep - he was 13 months and I asked you all about what vaccines were given at 1 year. I wasn't sure how to ask my friend about vaccines without implying fault if he had been recently vaccinated - this poor family has been through so much. I DID find out though that he had been on tylenol (for what I don't know - yet) and had received it the day before he died. Upon checking they discovered it was from the batch that had been recalled. Autopsy will take 10-12 weeks, so I will share if I find out anything. I did just want to share this - I know many if not all of us don't generally use these products, but I am sure that like me, many of you know moms that do. Also, I did finally break down and ask if he was fully vaccinated, and if he had gotten any recently via email (this is the only way she has wanted to communicate). This is a touchy subject with all my friends because they all think I am a horrible mother for not vaxing, so I am not sure how this will go over. But if she is looking for the cause I did think she should explore everything. I figure she may not think vaccines are bad, but after the tylenol recall maybe she can at least be approached from the standpoint that there can be a " bad batch " of vaccines as well. I also want to share that I spoke with many of friends about this little boys death, and when I even brought up the subject of vaccines and my curiosity about his vaccine status most of my friends were either appalled I would wonder such a thing, or the others rolled there eyes at me. I almost wish he has been recently vaccinated - just so it may open some people's eyes to the dangers of what they are injecting into their kids! I am so sad over this! Guest guest
Many people think vaccines are just dandy until their child is injured or killed by them. You did the right thing to plant the seed in the mom's mind. I wouldn't mention it again to her unless she asks. Whether the Tylenol itself caused the death or not, the child had some condition that he was given Tylenol for. Between that condition and the Tylenol, or something else we don't know about (was he also on antibiotics, or maybe they gave Advil then switched to Tylenol?), the fact is this child did not die drug-free. They might never get an answer from the autopsy, especially if vaccines were at the root of it. Such a shame. Parents and doctors have got to stop being so casual about OTC drugs and begin to look at better ways to ensure good health. Guest guest
She actually just got back to me, and told me that she had stopped his vaccines at 5 months because she had a friend who had a child that had a reaction. I am glad to hear she at least had stopped to investigate. Not many of my friends even read anything on vaccines at all.I think he was cutting molars and that was why she gave him the tylenol. I didn't ask for specifics. I do know she is having him tested for the tylenol in his system. I guess I will know when they get the results. But like you said, cold have been more contributing factors like other meds. I just can't agree enough about how casual most people are about the OTC drugs. Even the "all natural" products need to be given with supervision of someone who is educated on the product! Guest guest
I am glad to hear she didn’t just vax him. that would be torture. It’s going to be bad enough about the Tylenol! Anyway still tell her about the compassionate friends. They are a big help. or you can give her my email or both Nita, and my crew: 17, Jon 15, 13, 11, 8, Christian (RIP: 7/16/03 to 8/22/04), 4 and Isaac, 2 http://momof6.dotphoto.com for not necessarily current pictures http://nitasspot.blogspot.com I'm like a snapdragon: half of me has snapped and the other is draggin'
