My mom used to smother us with vicks when were small. Is petroleum bad? I think it's in some of the diaper creams I might have.

Vaccinations

My daughter, who will be 2 at the end of this month, caught something

from her older brother who is almost 4 and in preschool.

He first had a very long lasting low grade fever with a cough. It

was, and still is, a wet & deep cough but isn't as often. My daughter

had the same symptoms however reverse, her fever was high but only a few

days and now she's got this very wet cough. She's at an age where she

can't get that mucus out. She's only received the HIB vaccine.

I have not taken her to the doctor cause we are poor and have the

state insurance. We have access to the most vaccine-pusher type docs

I did buy homeopathic type cough med and it seemed to make it worse.

I believe because it made it produce more mucous.

So, should I try something to dry up that mucous? It isn't Whooping

Cough, do you think? She no longer has any fever, just cough. Is it just

a common cold w/cough? I've given her no tylenol or motrin.

I never used it on my kids, never was given it as a child. It could interfere with homeopathics so I would steer clear just on that.
