ISO sources for alt. to ADHD meds

I'm in search of info on ADHD for my 5 yo nephew just diagnosed. He's

vaxed, no breastmilk, day care, SAD, second hand smoke etc. He's in

Mississipi, no religious exempt, not that they listened to me about

vax with any of their four children. He will begin public K in Aug.

Since he has been thrown out of every daycare & sitter available, he

will now be medicated and left in the care of his handicapped GM who

loves him but will feed him SAD.

In my opinion this is child abuse but I haven't been " home " in 13

years and have no say.

I'm interested in info regarding diet, misdiagnosis, vax damage, alt.

treatment, etc. Especially diet that causes ADHD behavior and diet

that resolves such behavior.

Any leads greatly appreciated.

Check out the Feingold diet. They avoid primarily artificial items like food

colors and preservatives. It is how we started with my son. He is so sensitive

to food colors and preservatives. We did a couple of trials where we watched

what he ate, picked a time when he was being really good, and then gave him a

bag of Cheetos (full of yellow dye - one of the worst!). Within an hour, he

would become a raging maniac - the transformation was unbelievable!!!He would be

angry, extremely hyper, unable to focus, etc... Yellow dye, and others, are

proven to leach zinc out of the body upsetting the zinc copper balance, therby

causing the behavior. The Feingold website has lots of research.

Great suggestion. Also, no dairy products. And any child who doesn't feel well, probably doesn't sleep well, with behavior problems as a result (I think, in part, to keep themselves awake).

Plus, it's extremely important to make sure the child gets a lot of physical activity. Kid energy has to come out, and unnecessary stimulation from TV/video games just adds to the misery.

Doesn't sound like this family is on the same page, though, to agree with any of this. A pill is so much easier.

! Thankyou! Wonderful source I may not have found on my own. I love this group!Cheetos! My 5yo dd is the calmest, most focused child I know, give her a bag of cheetos and she will climb walls, scream without knowing why, cry without being able to stop. Now imagine, she is non vaxed, homeschooled, no meds ever. Her art teacher offered her a bag, Remi said, no thank you, cheetos make me crazy! Thankyou for sharing. Hidden valley ranch dressing and red gummy fruity candy does the same thing. And ice cream. Diet! Diet! Diet!I think a good diet and more could save this boy. This is a great book, written by Deborah Merlin. She had twin boys with ADHD,

aspergers, learning disorders and all kinds of problems and tells their story of

recovery. Both boys have fully recovered and are young adults now. I wrote the

chapter on Vaccines. Perhaps you could send this book to them. Reading someone

else's story that they can relate to can be very powerful.
