Guest guest
Barbara Walters has apraxia? Didn't she have a stroke at some point? What's interesting about this is that the " national expert " (genes- only guy who at least has a progressive concept of speech therapy) who we went to to evaluate our twins had written an article about his contention to the " apraxia " dx, saying that traditionally it was a speech problem of language recall which comes and goes as a result of having a stroke. He said it couldn't apply to kids with language delays. But guess what? I've met more than one mom explain that her child's language delay resulted from- tada- having strokes as infants. Of course the timing of the strokes corresponded to vaccinations. Walters may have just had a regular old stroke, though I'm not sure what happened to her as a child (her sister was developmentally disabled- one reason why she may believe in diagnostic substitution?). I'll bet chances of stroke rise from mercury exposure so the flu shot issue still remains true. She should stop getting them. My father was at death's door this year because of arterial plaques which, I think, resulted from yearly flu shots. He doesn't smoke or drink, has always been into health food and excercise. Hmmm. > > > > " After the 20/20 episode, we got a host of Newbies on the > childrensappraxia website who were keen to start experimenting with > diet. Guest guest
The guy slipped it in somehow. I didn't catch how it all came abt bec it happened very unexpectedly. The subject had nothing to do w/ kids or asd or vaccines. I think he was trying to give an example of hysteria blinding ppl to the facts. He was so smug and self-assured that he had all the facts, it drove me crazy. Colbert shut him up very quickly by sharply diverting the conversation. It was a very small part of the show - one line to be precise . His last name is Sherman and I think he's editor of Skeptic (online) Re: The View Wow, I missed this one. Funny how this was brought up on that show the Colbert Report -- At least The Daily Show with Jon had F. Kennedy Jr on a while ago talking about Simpsonwood! !!!TinaDid anyone catch M Sherman from Skeptic magazine on The Colbert Report getting all smug about how the crazed parents think vaccines causes autism when clearly "science" shows otherwise. As uneducated in medicine and science as he is he thinks he knows the science. > Be a better Globetrotter. Get better travel answers from someone who knows. Answers - Check it out. Guest guest
I was glad to hear that everyone in the audience was receiving a copy of her book.christine <christine@...> wrote: I just saw the show on my DVR. still amazes me. She did GREAT!!! Even Whoopi had issues where she had to make the point about crazy people blaming vaccines (in so many words). And like someone said- I’m glad some of those women read the book.
