Guest guest
Can someone answer a question for me? Bear in mind I am English, and have spent my whole life going to a General Practitioner if and when needed. Why do Americans use paediatricians? In the UK a child would only see a paediatrician in exceptional circumstances where specialist help was required. Is it mandatory to start a child's life with a paediatrician or is it a matter of choice? Seems to me that they are held in some sort of awe in the US, never to be disobeyed - which can't possibly be good for their egos. Just curious...
