Start your press release just as Sharon Brown recommended, then space down a bit and add a short paragraph or two that is your personal story about why you decided to take on the endeavor. Remember to keep it short but interesting. If it catches someone's eye there may very well be a story about you and your business in the future when they need a human-interest story. Then send/email your one-page press release to every local paper around, even if they belong to the same parent group. Don't forget the radio stations & tv too. Although the tv station may not do a piece on your business, they probably have a business section on their web page. If you belong to the Chamber of Commerce they need to receive a press release too, and oftentimes they have a list of addresses & emails they use for their press releases that you can use. I would make a separate press release for your husband. Unfortunately there are so many press releases that often just the headline is scanned and then it is tossed or filed and the second imbedded press release isn't seen.
