Guest guest
Same here. My mother, a practicing RN just got flu shot AND pneumococcal.... she knows what we're all about re: healthcare/shots/etc. Told me she's feeling bad, I'm like, "Mooomm!" She just said "I know, I know....well, I'm not getting that H1N1 shot"....(Thank God, but she knows better and still does it). Even as I have been telling her of the nurses in NY and what is going on there she gets them. Sometimes the message just doesn't sink in. Thanks, Winnie. And I’m shaking my head at so many on FB who have gotten their seasonal flu shots (and their children have, too) in the last week or 2 who are sick now! WHEN will they learn??! Seems I’m hearing of that even more this year from people (got the flu shot, now they’re sick.) Guest guest
Saw signs for shots at Target today!!! Ugh!At the library, the librarian was obviuosly VERY sick, eyes, nose, voice, tissues, blowing nose, all while handling our books....kids coughing in kid section, adult coughing, blowing nose in teen section, coughing in computer section. Went to see the guinie pigs, they were gone, replaced with a new one. I jokingly asked if hamlette and Oreo died from the swine flu and the Liberian said no, something called wet tail. So I asked if they have hamster vax for wet tail and she didn't share my humor. I think I may be losing it!!!! Passed the vets office again, canine flu shot sign still up. Is that a joke? Do dogs get the flu???Every sign in town is about vax. The health dept is taking appointments for flu shots, booked solid thru oct 22!!!!!Toni Mom to Cyrus, Darius, Remi Rose & WillowSent from my iPhoneNmidaughterseyes@...On Oct 8, 2009, at 12:52 PM, <pesh1988@...> wrote: Same here. Guest guest
Wet tail hamster vax!! That's funny, although probably not to the poor animal. Wait, there might be one: (http://hamster-cages.org/caring-for-a-sick-hamster/). "If you really care for your hamster, take it to the vet where he can help diagnose the problem further and perhaps administer a vaccine." I can't tell. They don't say what kind of vax. And further searcing, I have found that wet tail is usually caused by stress. Maybe it's a stress vaccine! Oh, my son is going to wonder why I've been looking up wet tail vaccines for hamsters on his computer... Guest guest
Ah, let the games begin...CBS 2 NY news did a story tonight showing mass panic when a clinic ran out of doses of the seasonal flu shot. They were trying to get an angry reaction out of one of the senior citizens but they were all calm saying " we'll come back another day and get it...no big deal " I think the news wants them rioting for their flu shots! I went to the pediatrician today to drop off forms and saw a young mother with a brand new infant. I wanted to scream DON'T GIVE HIM SHOTS just like I alway's wished someone would have done for me but I realized she was leaving and the damage was done. Guest guest
There should be a special place in Hell for those who Make, advertise, distribute, administer, approve vax for babies and children. If I am ever questioned by a higher being, I will show him/her a copy of child one and child two's vax records and inform him/her that ignorance was my greatest crime and my children are the victims of my ignorance and other's deception and greed. Punish me if you must but please let me watch the torture of those who planned and administered this madness. Oh, and give me five minutes with the SOB who gave me and DH the smallpox vax.
