Guest guest
Hi Taz-I'm two years into Lyme treatment including the 2 common coinfections- Bartonella and Babesia. The therapeutic dose of Doxy is 200mg 2 x a day and 6 weeks isn't going to do it. Make sure you have a Lyme literate doc who knows how to clinically diagnose the coinfections. You won't progress without treating them. Since you've had the skin symptoms this would indicate Bartonella. Also, the abx need to be mixed up, Doxy alone won't cut it, also consider supplementing your treatment with herbal antibiotics. Do you live in the U.S. and if so, what state? If you've had Lyme for a number of years your Vit. D and magnesium levels will be dramatically depleted. You won't heal without getting the levels back up. Also, the infections will cause your thyroid to be out of whack. Lastly, consider the Lyme inflammation diet, it will help to calm symptoms. Also, Lyme must be diagnosed clinically, even the CDC says that lab tests are for surveillance only.AandrayaOn Aug 25, 2011, at 11:02 PM, Mabel Muriel wrote: Hi All, Have not posted for months, as this summer I have just been feeling awful with body aches, eye floaters, rashes -- and crushing fatique. Guest guest
Sorry to hear that Taz, but we're in the same boat. Co-infections always come along with the Lyme. My doctor had me on Artemisinin and Samento for Borrelia and Bartonella... for a long long time. I still have a ton of it and probably will start it again at some point. So glad you saw a LLD. We waited over a year to do that too, but we just did not know any better. Guest guest
The 2 abx for Bartonella are Rifampin and Levaquin. Others just keep it in check. Rifampin is for the brain symptoms and Lev. for below the neck.On Aug 26, 2011, at 12:15 AM, Goldstein@... wrote: Sorry to hear that Taz, but we're in the same boat. Guest guest
Hi Taz!Sorry to hear you have the Lyme.. I am also very tired/fatigued all the time sleeping 9-10 hours a night to cope with work and kids. I have also thought this is due to the prior stress with all the mite-fighting. Unfortunately we don´t have any Lyme doctors in Sweden at least not what I have been able to find and the ordinary test at the normal doctors here will probably be useless. What would you all do?CeciliaFrom: Mabel Muriel <tazmaniacaboy@...>bird mites Sent: Friday, August 26, 2011 6:02 AMSubject: Doc confirmed borrelia in my blood. So tired.... Guest guest
Hi Taz, so sorry you also have to deal with the co-infections now. Are you still fighting the mites in your environment ? I just read about your floaters. I have got them since being infested and they are getting more ! The internet says there is nothing you can do about them and there is only one docter who treats them with laser and he is in the U.S. My situation has improved a lot, but getting more and more scared about infections now. Think I will go and get tested for Lyme as you and many others suggested. P.S.> A good alternative for AB's would be colloidal silver which is the oldest antibiotic in the world, but has no side effects at all. Guest guest
I starting getting the floaters too and I never had them before mites/Morgellons/Lyme/co-infections. It started in right eye real bad 6-8 months ago. I was afraid because my brother-in-law had had a detached retina and become almost entirely blind in one eye--it turned out the doctor did reassure me that the floaters were a more normal type that comes up with age and common with Candida. I doubt if this is the entire reason since it seems common with out condition, but that doctor would not have known about that. Several months later my left eye started with the floaters, again really bad. I went back to the eye opthalmologist and asked about the laser treatment. The doctor told me that laser can be done if it is really bad, but my floaters were not bad enough to do the laser. They also told me that the brain starts to ignore floaters and that is what has been happening. I don't see them as much as I used to and ignore what I see. I also started taking eye vitamins. From: "Aggi" <aggi_assmann@...>bird mites Sent: Friday, August 26, 2011 7:28:00 PMSubject: Re: Doc confirmed borrelia in my blood. So tired.... Guest guest
Hi Cecilia,Floaters are little bits of debris that detach in the eyeball and float around in the fluid of the eyeball. They vary in size and shape and have various causes too. Some may eventually be reabsorbed, but others do not get reabsorbed. The brain usually after a period of months or weeks starts to ignore them.<3 From: "Cecilia Borg" <ceciliaborg@...>bird mites Sent: Saturday, August 27, 2011 3:26:16 AMSubject: Re: Doc confirmed borrelia in my blood. Guest guest
Hi , I have just ordered bio coconut water online :-) Do you know for how long I would need to rinse each eye ? 10 mins each maybe twice a day ? How are you doing meanwhile. Are you still on the anti-fungal diet ? I have stopped it, but still trying to eat healthy food only and very few carbs and sugar. Still struggling with mites in my office. Have started spraying the Lysol in there. See if it works. Would love to put the predatory mites in action, but simply wouldn't know how to explain the cartridges to colleagues and cleaning staff. Guest guest
Hi Aggi, I just rinse each eye for a few minutes. Like I said, I haven't given this a good effort yet as I am so busy. With teaching, you grade papers at night on the week days, tests and lesson plans on the weekend,.........so no life or time for me. I'm now 6 weeks into my anti fungal medication. Rather than not being able to count the number of plastic hypae coming up through my skin, I can now count what's left on one hand. No longer spending all my time rubbing mycelium off my body. I did, just last week, have a set back. My apartment and car were completely clear of any issues. Then, two weeks before school started back, I finally got my things from storage. I found fungus growing on quite a few items. I cleaned everything with lysol there at the storage unit and put them in clean trash bags before putting them in the car, cleaned everything again outside the apartment Problem is, I did notice the white floaters in the car as I unloaded the stuff. I cleaned the car with lysol twice before school started, but have been too busy to clean it this last month. Last week I noticed the familure movement of the feather winged beetle in my hair and started Lysol bathes immediately. I sprayed the car down again and found fungus growing in a few places. Because of those storage items, I am now forced to vacuum and clean the car again for at least the next month to be sure to get all the spores that may be left behind. I've done the bathes for 5 days now, and the beetles are gone again. My skin is looking great, and I am eating non some non anti fungal foods now. I even eat a candy bar from time to time. It has been wonderful to not have any sores on my body. I can't believe that I once had about 200 of them at one time. The Center for Disease Control states that histoplasmosis is very hard to get rid of in the environment. I recommends that effected areas be cleaned very well with a good disinfectant and any item that can be, be burned. It said that soil can be cleaned of it by allowing the disinfectant to soak at least 6 to 8 inches into the ground and let set for a while. I therefore assume repeat cleaning is necessary to clear every possible fiber and spor. If there is a way you can let things in the office soak and air dry over the weekend, that may be advisable. After soaking my car, I watched as all these tiny floating fibers went racing out the open door. These beetles know they have met their match. Glad you are doing so well. I have also noticed you are helping quite a few people. Keep up the good work:) Love and light, From: Aggi <aggi_assmann@...>Subject: Re: Doc confirmed borrelia in my blood. Guest guest
i am trying to find a LLD asap. i have had progressing arthritis and swelling for years. all tests came back negative for arthritis, but xrays show it in my back ( before the mites). now i am bruising on my legs. my right ankle is swollen, red and itchy. it happened a couple weeks ago too. about 2 months ago when i had the lesions in my scalp i was treating my hair and felt something weird. it was a tick...latched on feeding. i have been in so much pain the past few years and always tired i can't tell if it's worse or what. are these tests expensive. i do not have insurance, but hopefully i will get help financially. all extra money goes for prevention tactics. yikes > > > >> > >> Sorry to hear that Taz, but we're in the same boat. I wish I had gone to this doc months ago but I thought the fatique was just due to stress.Anyone else out there with Borellia? What has helped, what has not? Did drugs help you? Thanks everyone,Taz
Guest guest
Where do you live alaire? My apologies if you told us already... my memory for so many things not that great. So tired.... i am trying to find a LLD asap. i have had progressing arthritis and swelling for years. all tests came back negative for arthritis, but xrays show it in my back ( before the mites). now i am bruising on my legs. my right ankle is swollen, red and itchy. it happened a couple weeks ago too. about 2 months ago when i had the lesions in my scalp i was treating my hair and felt something weird. it was a tick...latched on feeding. i have been in so much pain the past few years and always tired i can't tell if it's worse or what. are these tests expensive. i do not have insurance, but hopefully i will get help financially. all extra money goes for prevention tactics. yikes > > > >> > >> Sorry to hear that Taz, but we're in the same boat. > >> > >> > >> > >> From: "Mabel Muriel" <tazmaniacaboy@...> > >> bird mites > >> Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2011 9:02:15 PM > >> Subject: Doc confirmed borrelia in my blood. Did some exploring online and then went to a Lyme-literate doctor, who did an arsenal of tests. Results -- I tested positive to antibodies to Borrelia, although I did not have enough "bands" to be diagnosed as having Lyme Disease per the Feds (any surprise there?) > >> > >> My doc is having me start on 100 mg Doxy and working up to 200 mg/day for 6 weeks.
