Guest guest
HI Alaire! We had a major miteproblem for about 11 months, and now after moving and throwing everything we owned it´s been so much better since 3 months (hardly dare to say so , these little creachures may hide somewhere). I truly understand your agony and what you´re going thru. IT´s so awful. Please hang in there and keep fighting. ARe you washing your clothes with borax and ammonia? People from this site atught me that and to press them in a steam press afterwards- that helped a lot with the clothes and linnen. We vaccumed every day for 10 months and laundered all bedlinnens and clothes for a whole family everyday. It seemed endless, but at least it helped over time. Schampoing with selsun makes it a bit better and also using sulphur soap.Take care.CeciliaFrom: alaire73 <alaire_fetters@...>bird mites Sent: Thursday, August 18, 2011 4:05 AMSubject: Re: Hi Guys, just checking in how you are it's been three months, i've tried it all. last night i wiped ceiling and walls with neem oil, wiped all furniture with lysol, vacuumed, clean sheets, clean clothes, shower, incense...and had a terrible night. the clothes i wore today must have been full of hungry assholes. i've had a bad day. i'm tired. i clean houses for a living so it's the last thing i want to do when i get home. been crying and praying all day > > Hi Is it possible to get rid of bird mites in my home, havnt been bit in days or had the creepy crawly sensation.I have bomb and been vacuuming and doing the alcohol and vinegar? > >
Guest guest
Alaire, I cleaned differently. I used a garden sprayer with 1 cup of lysol complete clean to the gallon and sprayed the ceilings, walls, furniture, and floors. I used a swiffer type mop with a washable bonnet that I bought from Lowes to wipe the wallsand floors after spraying. I hope you weren't using the Lysol disinfectant spray as that's the wrong one. Then, 1 ounce of bifen to a gallon in a garden sprayer to spray window sills and door frames. Love and light, . Guest guest
Hi Zen and Aggi,Makes me feel so grateful for husband's support although my support was partly because my husband was badly affected, unlike Zen's husband and your boyfriend Aggi. This is a total life changing experience, no matter how you dice it. At least it was for us. No matter how improved things have gotten, it is never far from my mind what we have gone through. Every new person here will feel the same way, each improvement, however small the improvement, will feel so grateful for any small improvement. I know we do. I still have hair problems too. One of the things that has helped me the most has been putting the essential oils in my hair after a shower (oregano oil, tea tree oil, Eucalyptus oil) mixed together and put onto the scalp with a dropper. The mites HATE it. Also, if you have a fungal issue going on it stops it dead in its tracks, at least for a while. It does come back, but gives weeks of relief. Very smelly, but I don't mind the smell. From: "Aggi Assmann" <aggi_assmann@...>bird mites Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2011 3:20:19 PMSubject: Re: Re: Hi Guys, just checking in how you are Hi Zen, Our story"s do sound pretty much alike. I had no support of my boyfriend whatsoever. He told me to keep my mind open and that it could be anything but bird mites. He recommended a psychatrist and I went there for a couple of sessions, just to please my boyfriend. Of couse it was nice to talk someone, but it didn't help the problem. The only help I ever got was of this group !! Thank you for your positive thoughts, they must have worked :-) My boyfriend has not got bitten again, but the old bites are healing very slowly and are still itching at times. My situation is still improving. My life is mostly normal now just like before the infestation. The only execption is the scalp. It is better like yours, but not 100%. I still want to order the Doxy of Freedom Pharmacie in the US and try 's recipie of dissolving 1 tablet in water and massage it into the scalp. Have you tried this Zen ? What is weird is that we have sort of had the same experience....we were gone for 10 days from our rented "new" home and today my husband is reporting "crawling" on his face and eyelids...places that used to bother me non-stop. I am still good at this point except for my scalp (which is better - just not 100%). I know this sounds crazy but I made him sleep downstairs tonight. I went through months of him telling me it wasn't so bad and I needed to just accept that my symptoms were either not as bad as as I said or all in my head. Occasionally he would then have issues and want advice but for the most part I fought this battle on my own for myself and the kids. I need to be sympathetic but I must confess I am really just terrified at the thought that he's now infected (M's - not mites most likely) and I will get sick again. I cannot slide back again after gaining ground.I will keep you and your boyfriend in my thoughts! Maybe just a temporary thing. zen On Tue, Aug 9, 2011 at 4:58 PM, Aggi <aggi_assmann@...> wrote: I am afraid it does contain perfume. Guest guest
Sorry to hear of the ups and downs Zen. I know exactly what you mean. It has been up and down here too over the last 3-1/2 years. One little missed area can become a fairly big area - like the suit - or even the horseback riding. We seem to pick everything else I think because of the unusual ability of the mites to read us and their chemical structure seems to become internalized in us. Marked is a good way to put it. There is such a merry-go-round effect - some periods pretty good and other periods pretty bad and everything in between. It was good for me during my vacation... very few symptoms, if any. So now home, waiting for the onslaught again. We did RVing in my brother's RV - I didn't worry about spreading anything and cleaned it up really well after using it.From: "zen morgie" <zenmorgie@...>bird mites Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 2011 7:53:15 AMSubject: Re: Re: Hi Guys, just checking in how you are Hey Aggie. So glad to hear that the bites were just a temporary hassle! I haven't tried the doxy on the scalp but I have a supply of it so I am going to give it a go. We have had an uptick in symptoms - sad to report. We've been trying to figure out what may have lead to actual bites (which we haven't had in a long while). In Chicago my husband wore a suit (we were at a meeting) that he had hanging in our old closet in SC. He admitted it hadn't been cleaned since our initial outbreak last year (he doesn't typically wear suits - just on a the odd special occasion). It is a wool blend. So, I am guessing that perhaps a few buggers were on the suit. Also, my daughter rides horses and has been going to horse camp during our days here. It could be that she is picking up the random mite from riding - I 100% believe like many others that once a body has had mites it is marked and becomes a beacon for other mites in and around the environment. Things aren't totally bad like they used to be - just need to revisit some of the protocols we used to use and hopefully I can knock back whatever it is that we are dealing with. Two steps forward....one step back. But, we will get there. Still doing the F-5 and that does help overall. I'm hauling out the cedarcide fogger today. Since I spent a fortune on it and still have some I may as well put it to good use . We should all be buying stock in sulfur, supplements, essential oils, etc. Mite fighting products may be the next boom - like gold . A little mite humor goes a long way. Guest guest
Hey - thanks for the email! Your trip sounds like it was wonderful! I have always wanted to do the RV thing - where all did you go? What was your favorite spot? We haven't had any bites or crawlies in a few days - yipppeee! My husband is taking the kids on a week long vacation on Friday. I am going to lysol and clean our home and treat the carpets and find a way to get my closet in shape. Sounds terribly boring I know but I am excited. I have never had 5 days to myself since I had children - I don't even care if the bugs are here I am going to just enjoy the quiet. Hopefully I'll get a good book or two and watch some trashy Lifetime movies, too! I never seem to sit down since we got " bugged " - the laundry alone is a full time job for a family of four! How are you doing these days? I am always struck by your genuine concern and kind attitude. I wish all of us in our on-line family could meet for coffee and/or wine. The mites would think they were at an all you can eat buffet! Hugs to you! > > > > > > > > Oh yes Aggi, I know that experience too. My husband had so few bites, but occasionally he does get some. Guest guest
Hi Zen,You know, I love your name too. Zen. Such peace when I think of it. This condition will bring you to your knees because the process is so difficult for most people. I wish I felt so serene inside and after our vacation to national parks and seeing my sister and her large family (Crater Lake, Mt. Shasta) and sister in Salem, Oregon, then on to Portland, my home city. During our vacation we've decided to make yet another decision to take care of ourselves better. It has been hard to do with taking care of 's dad too who passed 7/20 at age 95. We were solely responsible for him, but so tiring for us and difficult for us to take vacations and get decent breaks from day to day responsibilities. We were multitasking constantly and just plain worn out. We feel it is an important part of this process to get right with God.I am happy to hear you are getting a little break and it will be good for everyone to have a little space, including your hubby and kids. We need a lot of R & R during this and with kids it is super difficult, let alone without kids. Also hard to keep a good flow in a relationship, don't you think? I am hoping this is a much needed rest for you Zen. I think our adrenal glands get fully zapped by all the activity of trying to get rid of mites, not to mention worry and obsessing about did I do this and did I do that and rid ourselves of fungus, mites, Morgellons or whatever it is that has decided to reside in our bodies (yes, I believe we have many infections too). Depending on our ages there are so many things we would all like to do once again (for some, have a baby!), or travel, or become healthier - but how do we do this? We can only do so much, and first things first. Prioritizing is so important and reassessing what we value.Today is the day we put "dad's" ashes into the ground. A little somber here. Must go shower. Be well. We do have a wonderful online family here. From: "southernbugmom" <zenmorgie@...>bird mites Sent: Monday, August 22, 2011 5:54:15 AMSubject: Re: Hi Guys, just checking in how you are Hey - thanks for the email!
