Guest guest
Oh yes Aggi, I know that experience too. My husband had so few bites, but occasionally he does get some. It also could be now for us anyway they are not mites, but mozzies or something like that. Maybe your boyfriend had something else bite him. Do they look exactly like mite bites? My husband had 4 bites a few months ago in a square pattern and were itchy. When we looked at the bites under magnifier they had fibers in the bites, but the bites healed quickly and completely. I hope your bf does not have mite bites. Was he freaked out about it? So happy to hear you had a great vacation too. We're leaving on vacation for 2 weeks on Wednesday, going up the California and Oregon coast camping in a RV (brother's). I really need a change of scenery and to just get away. It does a world of good. Guest guest
I wonder Aggi. You have been cleaning up the body environment for a while now. Maybe the mites are attracted to your boyfriend now because, on a continuum, he is sending out more of a smell than you now. He may want to start cleaning his body now. Guest guest
Hi , beautiful gardens everywhere I looked :-) We have also been to the Lake District this time. The scenery is absolutely stunning there. I just loved it. Took some great pictures, if you are interested, I could just send them to you. This morning my boyfriend had two more new bites. He does not seem to be concerned about it. For me they do exactly look like mite bites. Will start washing the whole bed stuff again tomorrow. Today I found out, that the sanitary conditioner I am using in the washing machine also contains the active ingredient that is contained in Lysol. That is why I never had any problems with my clothes ! Was always wondering about so many here who couldn't get rid of the mites even after washing. Now I understand :-) How nice you are going on holidays as well. And yes, it makes all the difference for sure ! > > Oh yes Aggi, I know that experience too. Guest guest
Hi Cecilia, Very glad to read how well you are doing ! My boyfriend had 2 more bites this morning, but as this happens in his sleep, he would not know what I have been through for almost 2 years. That is something I can not even describe. Holidays were nice, but the best thing is, that I have got my life back again. I am not totally symptom-free, but getting better each and every day ! Guest guest
Hej Cecilia, That would be the brand 'Sagrotan' Hygiene Conditioner. It is supposed to kill 99% of all viruses and bacteria. I wash most of my clothes on 60 degrees only with normal washing detergent plus the above conditioner. Guest guest
Wow Aggi - the trip sounds wonderful! A well deserved break. Isn't it nice to feel normal once and a while? I am keeping my fingers crossed for your boyfriend. What is weird is that we have sort of had the same experience....we were gone for 10 days from our rented " new " home and today my husband is reporting " crawling " on his face and eyelids...places that used to bother me non-stop. I am still good at this point except for my scalp (which is better - just not 100%). I know this sounds crazy but I made him sleep downstairs tonight. I went through months of him telling me it wasn't so bad and I needed to just accept that my symptoms were either not as bad as as I said or all in my head. Occasionally he would then have issues and want advice but for the most part I fought this battle on my own for myself and the kids. I need to be sympathetic but I must confess I am really just terrified at the thought that he's now infected (M's - not mites most likely) and I will get sick again. I cannot slide back again after gaining ground. I will keep you and your boyfriend in my thoughts! Maybe just a temporary thing. zenOn Tue, Aug 9, 2011 at 4:58 PM, Aggi <aggi_assmann@...> wrote: I am afraid it does contain perfume. Guest guest
Hi zen and Aggi,Something similar happened with my husband too. Just for history's sake, we both started out with bites (bird mites) - most aggressively on me, but husband had hundreds of bites too that attacked his ears, buttocks, private parts, etc. That was in spring of 2008. He did not get them on his feet or eyes or mouth or scalp like I did, nor did he have the white things falling off the body, or tons of fibers appearing on the body. We treated ourselves, house, everything and over a period of a year things improved and he went into almost 100% remission of any symptoms. Then maybe a year later he started getting symptoms of electrical sensations on one ear that would come and go. Then it got bad for a while and he got a few bites to his knee. He never denied anything as zen described, nor made it miserable for me in any way, always supportive even though I sure talked about it way too much. We kinda went through this alone at that point, except one friend who had mites too several years before. He knew the stress we were under.I have always been at home more hours where we got infested, and he has always been healthier than I am, although not totally healthy since he has Lyme disease, but didn't suffer from co-infections like I have. I don't know if he has Morgellons; I do. But it is really frightening when your spouse has symptoms too because we don't know what that means for them or us, or our kids. So many unknowns that translate into fear... I so hope both of your significant "others" become completely symptom free and you don't have to worry about transmission, or more mites in the house, or anything. From: "zen morgie" <zenmorgie@...>bird mites Sent: Tuesday, August 9, 2011 6:54:14 PMSubject: Re: Re: Hi Guys, just checking in how you are Wow Aggi - the trip sounds wonderful! I hope your bf does not have mite bites. Was he freaked out about it? > > > > > > > > > So happy to hear you had a great vacation too. Guest guest
Hi Zen, Our story"s do sound pretty much alike. I had no support of my boyfriend whatsoever. He told me to keep my mind open and that it could be anything but bird mites. He recommended a psychatrist and I went there for a couple of sessions, just to please my boyfriend. Of couse it was nice to talk someone, but it didn't help the problem. The only help I ever got was of this group !! Thank you for your positive thoughts, they must have worked :-) My boyfriend has not got bitten again, but the old bites are healing very slowly and are still itching at times. My situation is still improving. My life is mostly normal now just like before the infestation. The only execption is the scalp. It is better like yours, but not 100%. I still want to order the Doxy of Freedom Pharmacie in the US and try 's recipie of dissolving 1 tablet in water and massage it into the scalp. Have you tried this Zen ? How is your situation meanwhile ? August, 2011 03:54 Uhr Wow Aggi - the trip sounds wonderful! A well deserved break. Isn't it nice to feel normal once and a while? I am keeping my fingers crossed for your boyfriend. What is weird is that we have sort of had the same experience....we were gone for 10 days from our rented "new" home and today my husband is reporting "crawling" on his face and eyelids...places that used to bother me non-stop. I cannot slide back again after gaining ground.I will keep you and your boyfriend in my thoughts! Maybe just a temporary thing. zen On Tue, Aug 9, 2011 at 4:58 PM, Aggi <aggi_assmann@...> wrote: I am afraid it does contain perfume. Guest guest
Hey Aggie. So glad to hear that the bites were just a temporary hassle! I haven't tried the doxy on the scalp but I have a supply of it so I am going to give it a go. We have had an uptick in symptoms - sad to report. We've been trying to figure out what may have lead to actual bites (which we haven't had in a long while). In Chicago my husband wore a suit (we were at a meeting) that he had hanging in our old closet in SC. He admitted it hadn't been cleaned since our initial outbreak last year (he doesn't typically wear suits - just on a the odd special occasion). It is a wool blend. So, I am guessing that perhaps a few buggers were on the suit. Also, my daughter rides horses and has been going to horse camp during our days here. It could be that she is picking up the random mite from riding - I 100% believe like many others that once a body has had mites it is marked and becomes a beacon for other mites in and around the environment. Things aren't totally bad like they used to be - just need to revisit some of the protocols we used to use and hopefully I can knock back whatever it is that we are dealing with. Two steps forward....one step back. But, we will get there. Still doing the F-5 and that does help overall. I'm hauling out the cedarcide fogger today. Since I spent a fortune on it and still have some I may as well put it to good use . We should all be buying stock in sulfur, supplements, essential oils, etc. Mite fighting products may be the next boom - like gold . A little mite humor goes a long way.
