Yeah, Aggi! It's so good to hear of your positive progress. I, too, am doing extremely well.

Thank you Krys ! And let me thank you again for your great support here ! Your

advise on using the Lysol/Dettol/Sagrotan was gold worth. I just noticed a

tremendous difference in the house when adding this for cleaning.

I am sure your mum will also get there. In the past 2 years I haved learnt the

hard way what patience really means.

So be patient and not a patient :-)

Oh it is worth trying to save the relationship all right. Each of us is worth our weight in gold and more. You have been an extraordinary addition to this group - we have all been really blessed by all the good posts. I was talking about you tonight to family around the super table and the Duchys you have tried... we have some really smart people here. Wish we had known about them a few years ago when we had mites. I don't think we have them in the space any more. My backyard which is owned by the homeowner's association is sealed off and the door we have sealed off since that is where they most likely entered. The patio there is covered in diatomaceous earth and sliding glass door sealed. We are getting fewer and fewer spiders too which were obnoxious in the past (hundreds in the summer).Hugs and more hugs to you and all. Have a great time in the UK. I wish I were there touring gardens which is one of my major interests. Great Aggi,

I truly believe the fungus is why the mites, etc. are attracted to people. Histoplasmosis is an indicator as it is found in bird and bat droppings and thus would be in nests and on the critters coming from nests. BTW, I told Kry's about the Lysol, Dettrol, Sarguton, and I have read the histoplasmosis can be killed with a disinfectant. The CDC recommends soaking up to 8 inches of infected soil with a disinfectant to kill the fungus. They recommed burning all materials infected as they say it is hard to control. I am scrubbing toilets, floors, and counters with steelwool pads and then feeling the wet surface with my hands for the risiods and mycelium. I can eliminate everything this way. I feel it is important to do this for several months as spores can easily slip through the cleaning. They will eventually root, so repeating the intense cleaning is important to try to remove all new growth

before the hypae stage. I had the air system cleaned, but I continue to spray Lysol into the blower-fan area to fight whatever gets in it. I don't think you have a series of vents in your home though like we do.

Hi Cecilia,

Taking the Dutcht's to the office was not even necessary, because the symptoms

there are wearing off, too. I can hardly believe this is happening after this

endless struggle !

I am happy to read that you also can live a normal life again. You still must be

missing your house and belongings though.

You are right Sandy, we do not have air conditioners here in Germany, but trust

me, I will not get tired of cleaning until the very last mite has been

eradicated. It is still kind of weired sitting here on the couch and not being

bothered by a single mite. Absolutely amazing ! My scalp is still itching a bit

at night, but for me that's not even worth mentioning ;-) The Lysol has become

my favorite cleaner and I keep using it all over the house. It also has a very

nice smell, called 'sea breeze', so I feel like a holiday maker while cleaning,

We are going to visit the Lake District this time which is absolutely beautiful

and also Farne Island where you can find rare birds (and their mites, lol),

there is whale watching and one can dive with seals. Will report when I get back

home. It is such a good feeling going to visit people and not being scared of

transmitting mites to their houses. Did not have that for a very long time...

You are a very special person . Please take good care of yourself

I ran into a friend who told me she washes her carpets in Lysol. Think I'll try that, too, although the MMS does great.

My scalp is still itching a bit at night, but for me that's not even worth mentioning ;-) The Lysol has become my favorite cleaner and I keep using it all over the house. It also has a very nice smell, called 'sea breeze', so I feel like a holiday maker while cleaning, lol> > > > > > From: Aggi <aggi_assmann@>> > Subject: 3rd update on Dutchy's - more good news !> > bird mites > > Date: Thursday, July 21, 2011, 10:02 PM> > > > > >  > > > > > > > > Hi Guys, thought it's about the time for the next update.> > > > It is week No. 5 with the Dutchy's in my car. -- They shut the road through the woods

Seventy years ago.

Weather and rain have undone it again,

And now you would never know

There was once a road through the woods

Before they planted the trees.

It is underneath the coppice and heath,

And the thin anemones.

Only the keeper sees

That, where the ring-dove broods,

And the badgers roll at ease,

There was once a road through the woods.

Yet, if you enter the woods

Of a summer evening late,

When the night-air cools on the trout-ringed pools

Where the otter whistles his mate.

(They fear not men in the woods,

Because they see so few)

You will hear the beat of a horse's feet,

And the swish of a skirt in the dew,

Steadily cantering through

The misty solitudes,

As though they perfectly knew

The old lost road through the woods….

But there is no road through the woods.

Those areas in GB are so close to Germany. I wish it were so easy for all of us to get to those gorgeous places. My daughter travels to London pretty often from Germany. Lucky her. That brings me to another topic off topic here. As far as I can tell we never gave the birdmites to anyone. My family and kids came to stay here for weeks every year, although we did use separate bathrooms. We also stayed with them in Europe using the same shower every day. There was never a spread of a single thing, even using all their towels. We hugged and held the children -- no problems. I remember at the beginning, one year into this I was so fearful about spreading this to others. I remember Zoe saying some people get marked and I think I really agree with that. We did take precautions, cleaned things out really well tho. We stopped having company for a year, but after that we had people over -- not that often, but once in a while.3-1/2 years later I have no hesitancy in having people over, although, if we talk about birdmites, they do get paranoid! :(From: "Krys Brennand" <krys109uk@...>bird mites Sent: Saturday, July 23, 2011 7:31:16 PMSubject: Re: Re: 3rd update on Dutchy's - more good news !

Yes, Cecelia, I showed them to the Dermatologist and the Infectious Disease Doctor. The baby wrapped in mycelium closed my case. That proved that bugs could be living on a person for a very good reason. I posted the article a couple of months ago for you all to see the boy from Central America with the rare cuntaneaus disseminated histoplasmosis and unexplained persistant bug bites. Seems this type of fungus is no longer rare. My sister noted that most states effected by birdmite/bugs/Morgellons are where large immigration occurs. She thinks we are being introduced to pathogens that we are not immune to. Could be. She has a picture of a woman's home that is growing the stuff everywhere. Sounds like Sandy's. Lots of people speak of the white floating fibers. Through experience, I have learned

that is the fungus with insects hatching inside. I emptied my storage unit last week. Fungus was growing on the cement floor and on an egg shell mosaic. I washed everything with lysol there and re-bagged into new trash bags. I re-cleaned them outside my apartment and then applied 3 coats of polyurethan to everything. All is in my apartment now.

You are simply amazing. I wish I had half the energy you do . I wish I could read the article about the boy from Central America too. Do any of you remember seeing pictures of the man from Indonesia (I think, or close to that part of the world) who was growing things on his body that looked like a combination of bark and warts? His whole body was covered... what in the world could cause something like THAT? Some surgery was done to remove some of the growths. From: " Benton" <sarahbenton48@...>bird mites Sent: Monday, July 25, 2011 8:08:44 AMSubject: Re: Re: 3rd update on Dutchy's - more good news !

Hi, !I am so glad you could prove your case to the doctors! Do they feel confident in what to do about it or is it all your own knowledge that has led you to your treatments?I missed the article about the boy from Central America. INteresting. Can you test for histoplasmosis easily? Hi, Cecelia,

From what I've read, there are 3 ways they test for Histoplasmosis. One is by taking a lung x-ray and seeing the fungus cloud. The other is growing it in an agur dish from a skin scaping. That is long and costly as after weeks of growing it they then infect a rat with it and test it. Doesn't make sense to me. Can't they see it in the dish? The third way is checking the white blood count for a blood infection. That's what my Dr. did. It does not prove the fungus, but it advocates treatment. Based on my signs, samples, and symptoms, the Dr. agrees its probably Histoplasmosis. It is rare for it to come out of the skin as it usually graces the tropical areas of the world. Here are some fungal signs I've had:

* unexplained sore throat (on and off)

* Chills

* Extreme weight loss with the histoplasmosis

* Dark areas and veins coming up to the skin surface (to deposit fungus)

* Raised red areas that stay for months and can multiple

* Swollen ankles and effected feet

* Mites and bugs giving you,"bedroom" eyes

* Deep cravings for sugar and carb laden foods

* eye floaters that look like fungus

* darkness trying to grow on nails and teeth

* White fibers blowing from hair during drying

* Sample of mycelium and hypae from body

* an ichy feeling and upon rubbing, stuf is removed

* puffyness here and there causing sagging skin, wrinkles, and swollen eyes.

-I can't remember if you looked into Lyme, some of your symptoms are so right on for bartonella, one of the Lyme coinfections- the blue areas and veins enlarged at the surface, pain in feet, lesions that won't heal- they usually take on a dark purple color, floaters... Lyme is a clinical diagnose, once it's chronic it's common to test negative. These weird fungal infections are opportunistic and often complicate the whole picture. I have all of the symptoms you listed, some have greatly improved, and it's been a slow road. I'm sure the bacterial/fungal infections attracted the insects to me and they were living off me.Have you seen a Lyme literate doctor?AandrayaOn Jul 26, 2011, at 3:51 PM, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote:

* Chills

Love and light,

Now who are the lucky girls :-) I am just so happy for you ! I think we are both getting there. I can feel improvement by the day. Today was bite-free day No. 2 ! I am still picking up the odd mite, but they do not bite me anymore. Seems like the diet has played a big role in here and I am still on it.> > > From: Aggi <aggi_assmann@...>> Subject: 3rd

The biting has stopped all over there. For the past 5 days nothing but a few crawlies, mainly in my shoes. Have you all noticed the fact, that when you get the number of mites down in one place, it affects all the other places, too... Quorum sensing !> > Well, I can happily report that today was my very first day after living 24 months of horror, being absolutely bite-free and I am feeling like the happiest person on earth. No attacks in the office, nor car, nor at home. It is hard to trust the piece and I will

defenitely stick to the diet, the MSM capsules plus thorough cleaning and washing.> > Let me point out again, that I have not moved house and have not thrown anything away. I just hope this is encouraging for all our newcomers here. I honestly thought I would never ever get rid of these horrid mites, it has been such a slow process, but with the help of this forum I am feeling like a newborn again. Let's say I am 95% where I want to be.> > Wishing the same kind of success on all of you !> > HAPPY-AGGI :-)))>
