Hi Folks,

Just needed to share my progress with you. Got the predator mites in the car for

week No. 3 now. There is hardly any bites nor crawling activity in there

meanwhile. The second week got too hot for them and they go into diapause then.

That is when I've noticed more biting. Then the temperature dropped to their

'operating temperature', so they started working again and they are doing fine.

Best example is, I alwayys go and play tennis on a Monday night.

Only a couple of weeks ago, I used to be covered with mites returning home late

in the car, being all sweaty from playing the tennis. Tonight is the very first

night in 2 years history that I come home and do not feel like ripping off my

clothes and getting in the shower and box all the stuff I've been wearing !

Gosh, what A FEELING ! I just got in, sat down on the couch to watch the news

and keep you guys posted.

At home, also, the situation has improved again. Be it the anti-fungus-diet I am

on, or the strict cleaning protocol I am still following, I believe it is the

summary of all efforts.

Another good example was last Friday. We were supposed to go and watch a band in

concert and I had to rush home from work to get there on time. Did not have to

change clothes, just sprayed a bit of alcohol on my scalp for the ones I

" collected " in the office and off I was. Something like that would have been

simply impossible only a couple of weeks ago.

In other words, life is starting to get back to kind of normal, not entirely,

but I am pretty hopeful in getting there any time soon.

So here's my message: KEEP FIGHTING !IT IS WORTH IT !

Love and peace,

Aggi

-- They shut the road through the woods

Seventy years ago.

Weather and rain have undone it again,

And now you would never know

There was once a road through the woods

Before they planted the trees.

It is underneath the coppice and heath,

And the thin anemones.

Only the keeper sees

That, where the ring-dove broods,

And the badgers roll at ease,

There was once a road through the woods.

Yet, if you enter the woods

Of a summer evening late,

When the night-air cools on the trout-ringed pools

Where the otter whistles his mate.

(They fear not men in the woods,

Because they see so few)

You will hear the beat of a horse's feet,

And the swish of a skirt in the dew,

Steadily cantering through

The misty solitudes,

As though they perfectly knew

The old lost road through the woods….

But there is no road through the woods.

Thanks for the update Aggi. I am also following your example, not a strict anti-fungal diet but just cutting out sugar. I find it very hard because I have a sweet tooth but after just one week I noticed some improvements in my health. My "brain fog" has also lifted.

It seems to me that the Dutchys are less hardy than the bird mites and the heat affects them more. The weather is warm and I don't see much activity at the moment.

The Dutchys do work though, and I noticed they have killed some springtails, not just bird mites.

The Dutchys also helped me identify places where the bird mites hide.

For instance I discovered there is a group of mites in my fridge door.

Can you see the tiny little black bit? This is a very small hole inside the fridge door:

Yet another place where you can't get at them! I think I'll order a small cartridge and place it on top of the fridge. Only I have to wait because right now it's too warm to get more Dutchys.

Zelie,

While I am painting my apartment, I am sealing any holes or cracks I find with a caulking gun. You need to cut the carbs out for a while too as they turn to sugar in your system. Krys just pointed out that zinc and selenium are good additions to take that act anti-fungal.Love and light,

Zélie,I know it sounds wacky, but I wonder whether sugar is addictive. I rarely ever eat anything sweet, I don't even like sweet things much, but, in my younger days, I used to quite like a certain type of chocolate bar called " Toffee Crisp " (chocolate, puffed rice & toffee). I found, on several occasions, that while I had previously had no cravings for sweet things whatsoever, if I ate a Toffee Crisp or two I'd start wanting more; I'd keep wanting more & more, to the point I'd find some other chocolate bar to substitute if the shop did not stock Toffee Crisps. If I consciously decided I was not going to buy any sweets, pretty soon the craving for sweet things would go away.

I hope it works the same way for youBest wishesKrysOn 5 July 2011 07:49, Zelie Z <zelie417@...> wrote:

Hi Zelie,

This diet is so helpful, I am glad you are following us. It is surely not easy,

but trust me, being mite-free is sweeter than any chocolate bar ;-) Today we had

a little birthday party at work, so I got weak and had a piece of

cake....mmmmmmh how nice that was. But tonight I am noticing more mites on me

again, so there defenitely is a connection.

You are right with the Dutchy's. They are little wimps compared to the bird

mites. On the supplier website it says that they only work at certain

temperatures up to 25 degrees celsius max., don't know what that is in

Fahrenheit. Here in Germany we are currently between 21 and 25, means perfect

conditions for my little helpers. It has got so much better in the car. I have

noticed that if you get one source down in the numbers, it affects all other

areas, too. Right now home and car and office have got better big time !

I also read that the dutchy's eat springtails as well!

I looked at the picture of your fridge. It is amazing, how these critters are

finding the tiniest places to live in. Why don't you just put some duct tape on

that little hole ?
