Guest guest
Just wondering how many of you actually seen a bird mite in your home or belongings. I have moved away and threw most of my things out months ago. However - I am sure I had birdmites originally since we found 4 rotted bird nests covered with fleas in the bathroom vent and had them removed, but they proceeded into the apartment. I actually saw my first mite yesterday - in the past, everything I saw was just black spots that were just a piece of dirt or something, no actual form. This is how I saw it - I was re-arranging some old files and papers and noticed that on a large glossy photo there was what looked like a piece of dust stuck to it. With my 45X hand held microscope, I saw one in perfect form, albeit dead and dried out. The delicate skeleton showed up clearly on the black glossy background. So if anyone is looking for one to identify, I believe you will more likely find them on a dark background object whether they are dead or alive. I feel almost as good as the person who has proved her case to her dermatologist. The mites which tortured me for almost a year are no longer a mystery and I know I was not desulional after all! Carpet -- key to success? Hi folks,I'm at the point where I have to decide to get rid of all 1,000 square feet of carpet in the house or NOT. The cost will be at least $6,000 to put down hard flooring, such as tile! My question out to the forum is this --- for those of you who replaced your carpet, was it worth it? Did you find relief? Did the mites reduce dramatically or did they come back full force? Thanks everyone!Taz
Guest guest
Bill did you ever contract Morgellons, or simply mites? I didn't help me , I new what it was . My dog had had cheylatia mites ( squirel mites ) 10 years before , menacincing bugs . Kill them , its bug they will die. Plenty of borax on everything , then mist woth coconut oil to lock down the dust . & spray epsom salts 1 cup per 3-4 cups of water on that , is what I did among other soakings of dawn soap . Now I puff baking soda on everything & it dries them out like toast & arrests any new bugs I pick up at the park , docks or old trucks I have . Praise God ! He let me win ! Guest guest
Wow! I didn't answer the question. Saw one in the beginning of infestation yet felt many. Now, with new nests in picture, I have felt 6 and see pleny dead on my balcony each morning as they try to get in. Guest guest
Doris, I do not believe that anybody on this forum is delusional ! I have never seen my torturers either, but just do know for certain they are bird mites as it all started with a nest on top of the office building, right above my open windows. > > > From: Doris Kennedy <kean2465@...> > Subject: Re: How many of you have seen the birdmite? > bird mites > Date: Sunday, June 19, 2011, 12:56 AM > > >  > > > > > > Just wondering how many of you actually seen a bird mite in your home or belongings. I have moved away and threw most of my things out months ago.
