Guest guest
I sometimes use the product Beano which helps some with lowering the amount of intestinal gas I experience. It would fabulous if I could discover what natural foods either stimulate or add to the creation of the necessary enzymes by the body itself. I will look further into other digestive enzymes as well as the one in Beano. > > Have you tried taking digestive enzymes, one that has six-seven enzymes > listed? Guest guest
Dear Rick: WOW. When I think the thought that maybe I am not meant to put garlic into my body as a food, that it is okay that I don't follow what those around me are doing, I sure feel better. Here in Canada more and more and more products being manufactured are having garlic added or garlic versions are being made. My hubby who was introduced to Indian Food came home yesterday with a package of Indian NAAN bread 'made with fire-roasted garlic, cilantro and ghee, and baked in a traditional tandoor oven'. He said he got it as a treat for ME? I don't get it, he knows sometimes he will end up sleeping on the couch when I eat certain foods that have some form of garlic in it. I think he is masochistic! (I wish I could leave my body at those times and sleep on the couch too, thank goodness for incence!) I don't know anything about this Ayurvedic so I will add 'research what Ayurvedic is' to my changing list of things that I could do. Given the horrific smell that can eminate from me, I wonder if the garlic is in fact doing its job as a poison and killing the undesireable ugglies in my intestines and the smell is the smell of their death. Because nothing alive could smell that bad unless of course it is a plant that is intending to smell bad to either attract flies and other insects to use them for whatever reason they need them for or to stop from being eaten. I had these really strange what I figured were fungi come up in my garden that could be up to 2 inches round and I would dig them out. Inside a 'covering' was what looked like an eyeball or alien brain or something covered with this slime. Well one year I was away and these round things came up and since I wasn't home to remove them, they matured into mushrooms!! However, the smell they decided to create, Yikes!! It is amazing what creatures that exist. So I am going to take this creature and go feed her some yummy wonderful deliciously fresh smelling sprouts and fruits and vegetables sprinkled with curry powder that does not have garlic added. Thanks for the information. You made my day. Guest guest
Hi I ate according to my Ayurvedic body type a few years back and actually enjoyed it. You figure out your body type according to a questionaire and eat certain foods and spices that fit you. The spices are also used as medicines, tumeric, for instance, is great for your colon. There's an Indian flour called " Chapati " that you can make into a flat bread heating it in a cast iron pan. If you'd like more information, perhaps you should email me privately since this is a sprouts forum. Warm Regards Rick -Lee <bctoadlover@...> wrote: Dear Rick: WOW. Guest guest
I was going to send her an ebook that I have written by a dear friend of mine. When I've done it in the past, I always send him the money. Unfortunately i can't afford to send it to everyone, so I'm going to post some links I saved years ago. http://www.indiaoz.com.au/health/ayurveda/food_spices.shtml http://www.ivcooking.com/ Unfortunately most of the links I have are no longer working, but I did find this test . http://store.chopra.com/dosha-survey.asp http://ayurveda.iloveindia.com/ahar-vihar/index.html " Thia .... Guest guest
I'm wondering if anyone here has read the Nexus article (which has apparently spread all over the internet) and decided to give up garlic. I, for one, will continue to enjoy it. Guest guest
That's really interesting about garlic. I recently also read somewhere else that onions and garlic are gastric irritants and to be avoided. Alas, I really like onions. But, It's important to listen to what your body is telling you. I'm very interested in learning more about Ayervedic medicinal foods too. The links were very good ~Thankyou. Sincerely, Margaret ************** Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Now I have to order more broccoli seeds to make more sprouts to add to things. Rainbo278@... wrote: That's really interesting about garlic. Guest guest
I just realized that posting that link might be against policy here. If it is, I appologize. I just ordered the book. After I read it, I can let others know what's in it. Rick <slickrick605@...> wrote: I can't find my cookbook, don't recall the name and can't find it online. Guest guest
Hi Guys, I was wondering if any one has tried eating 2 cloves of Garlic & what results did you have? I've had bird mites/ morgellons for about 2 years now & have kept it under control by dieting (no sugar/ no milk.) The diet kept things undercontrol to where I can sleep all through out the night, I wasn't itching like crazy & I could live a normal life. But 4 weeks ago I got ringworm on my scalp. It spread so fast to the rest of my body & I didn't know what to do so I looked up remedy's online & it said to eat 2 cloves of garlic. Well after eating just 2 cloves of garlic it seems to have woken up the morgellons & I started feeling itching & crawling especially at night. I haven't been able to sleep good for about 3 days. But the worste part is where I'm getting a sesation that feels like tiny worms wiggling out of my skin & tiny biting at the same time. To me it seem's like the garlic is expelling worms out of my skin. I feel like I should sit in a bathtub with hot water but I don't have a tub. I'm afraid that as the worms are comming out of me they will contaminate my home & I will get full blown morgellons again. I stopped eating the garlic but now I'm worried that if I had this kind of reaction does this mean that I'm keeping the worms inside of me until I eat the garlic again? And I was wondering if I had so many worms that just a few worms cleasings wouldn't even matter because they just grew back some more. I'm thinking of going camping at the beach for a week & I'd just eat lots of garlic & then go in the salt water & maybe that will get rid of the morgellons for good. Also has any one done research on "Leaky Gut" or Skin parasites?
