Guest guest
I was shopping yesterday so I checked the shelves...sure enough they still sell Mrs. 's Bluing that I remember my Mom using when I was a kid. They even have a web site: http://www.mrsstewart.com/ Here is an excerpt from " What's in that stuff anyway? " : " Basically, bluing is made of a very fine blue iron powder suspended in water ( a " colloidal suspension " ). We add a non-toxic amount of a pH balancer and a biocide to prevent the build-up of algae and bacteria. (This may be why Mrs. 's Bluing is loved by farmers who tell us they use it in the water troughs of their farm animals and by owners of lily and fish ponds.) " Warmly, Sherri Oshun Spirit Arts Ltd. Mission, BC Canada http://oshun.bc.ca mailto:sherri@... Spring 2000 Catalogue online and downloadable with 134 new products and lower prices on many existing items...have you checked us out lately? Guest guest
I just got some bottles of bluing and I think it is turning out to be very useful. I do have some questions. First off I am using glasses that were my deceased brothers. mine broke and with the foamy stuff still in my eyelashes I need to wait to buy a new pair. So when I read small print like a label I have to use a magnifier. I decided to put some in my hair. My grandmover had white hair and when she dre ssed up she had the bluing added to her white hair. So I put some in my hair. I could not read the label so I j ust poured the bottle over my hair like it was shampoo, then I started rubbing it on my skin. Well I have short hair but it took over two hours to get the bluing out of my hair. I have went around wipping everything with it. I even put some on our hew hardwood floors and if it didn't get to dry it make the floor shine. I can see that it rubs in and you don't see blue, if you wipe immediately. Thanks to the person that posted about it. Sandy
