I live in Canada and he was highly recommended by several natural pratitioners in US.I asked him about probiotics feeding parasites as from some research I did it indicated such. I have a clt with Blastocystis Hominis protozoa parasite ,and ulcerative colitis who is having difficulty getting it under control but she has also been doing heavy probiotics. This protozoa is extremely hard to eliminate and presents differently in so many. It is one of the more common parasites. My clts son also tested positive for this recently and he had it 3years ago but it either never left or he contracted new strain, tests for him also showed candida. I believe this applies to candida cleansing also as the cleanse will only flush out the probiotic and should be done after cleansing is completed. This dr's comments were as following:"We never recommend probiotics while patients are undergoing treatment (or before treatment) for any parasite for the same reasons mentioned, i.e., they will feed the parasites. We only recommend probiotics after treatment is concluded and parasites are confirmed eliminated, preferably by another parasitetest. " Dr AminThe reason I bring this up is some on this site have expressed concern they may have parasites and if they are doing heavy probiotics it might be worthwhile doing a parasite test to rule out any such conditions so that they don't feed them unnecessarily.Dr Amin is a world reknown parasitologist who also has a testing lab and is head of par. dept at a univ in Arizona. His info is..I have used him for testing of my clients. He also tests for candida. One needs to go through a health practitioner to requistion testing kit.Dr. M. Guest guest
I wonder if this is true... I suppose parasites could eat about anything, including the good bacteria. BUT, aren't probiotics supposed to be supporting our immune system and making it stronger, thereby making out bodies healthier so we can fight parasites? Does anyone have an answer to this?\ Probiotics feed parasites Probiotics feed parasites http://healthpub.net/probiotics-feed-parasites-1749 Dec 21, 2010 Probiotics feed parasites!I have been dealing with a leading parasitologist in the US for parasite testing and guidance re parasite treatments with my clts. Guest guest
pro-biotics feed biological organisms vs anti-biotics that kill them.Maybe the parasites find them to be tasty morsels. Perhaps everything in nature likes good food!kjFrom: "Goldstein@..." <Goldstein@...>bird mites Sent: Thu, March 10, 2011 6:18:35 PMSubject: Re: Probiotics feed parasites I wonder if this is true...
