Guest guest
Hi CeceliaI would be surprised if you couldn't get labs ordered from abroad. But would be best to call Fry Labs first, just to make sure:Fry Laboratories, L.L.C. 15720 N. Greenway Hayden LoopSuite #3sdale, AZ 85260 Toll Free: 1.866.927.8075 Phone: 480.292.8560 Billing Phone: 480.292.8457 Fax: 480.656.4932 Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM As I was telling , while no, they can't identify this organism because I believe it is one they have not seen before, therefore not a 'categorized' species yet. Metametrix lab said they tested my organisms against 123 currently known parasitic/ protozoa infections and this one had a slightly different genome or genetic makeup, but similar DNA to the protozoan infections we already know of. [btw, think I said before that this is a comprehensive stool analysis] They match up as many genes as possible to existing known pathogens and this is how they can tell what kind of organism your pathogen is. As far as fry labs, I am not sure if this blood borne protozoa would be the same as the one found in the stool-just don't know. Seems I remember Dr. Fry saying that low dose antibiotics and I think he mentioned clindamycin, which is one I have had good luck with in the past; but have been hesitant to continue doing this on my own due to the C. Difficile that can become pathogenic after taking clindamycin long term. Feel for this one, we would be safer under a physician's care. IMO, I think knowing is better than not, just because you can then show other physicians that something is going on here; then perhaps be able to work with a physician on this more diligently than I did. And I also would still want to know if I had a protozoan infection or not, because I think the protocol would be slightly different than say, for just lyme or morgellons. I was initially given Alinia for this protozoan infection, but then was not followed up for subsequent testing. I just kept on treating morgellons and thought this protozoa was taken care of...not smart but I also didn't get help from the medical community. I suspect this protozoa is what is causing havoc within my system, but it could be other things as well...but have a hunch that the protozoa and biofilm just continued to multiply unchecked and gradually over time, caused me to get very ill, blocking intestinal uptake of nutrients so that I am down to 104 llbs. So I plan on doing that metametrix test again and hopefully the one from Fry labs too [$$$ brace yourself---some 500 dollars for metametrix comprehensive stool testing and I don't know how much Fry labs is.]Hope this helpsLovePdidit
Guest guest
Hello ,I really don't know, but I'd have thought, the known tropical protozoa would be identifiable from the blood test. It seems logical to me that many of these very strange symptoms would be caused by something new. The way you describe whatever is on your skin, it sounds, to me, like you're describing what I'd guess to be mycelia of a non yeast fungus or perhaps the non yeast phase of one of the fungi which have both forms.. Seems some of these fungi are not properly understood because so far no-one has managed to get them to go through their life cycle under laboratory conditions; that'sabout all I know about them....which isn't much. Afaik, there are very few known protozoa which live on top of the skin; they are mostly in blood or digestive tract. Best wishesKrys On 1 June 2011 07:30, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote: Krys, I keep wondering if it is a topical protozoa. No, I'm not sure - just suspect. I know it likes hair, and skin oil. Guest guest
I should think it would be cheaper to send to labs in Sweden or elsewhere in Europe.I think protozoa of the digestive system would be diagnosed by faecal examination, but protozoan infection of blood & tissues would be diagnosed by blood exminantion, perhaps an antibody test? I'd guess that one couldn't detect external blood sucking mites from a test for antibodies, perhaps unless one had an allergic reaction to the bites. But that is jut a guess, I don't know enough about it, but it is the immunoglobulin E (IgE) which reacts to allergins & internal worms etc. Best wishesKrysOn 2 June 2011 09:51, pcs_highroller <pshannon9@...> wrote: Hi CeceliaI would be surprised if you couldn't get labs ordered from abroad. No, I'm not sure - just suspect. I know it likes hair, and skin oil. It seems to like the sinusus- i think(that could be something else). I think the (webs, spreaders, whatever they are) that I role off my skin is caused by a protozoa. It does seem to thrive on oils. Before, if I ate anything with the slightest bit of oil, I'd notice an oil coating on my chin and lips. Within minutes, there would be spreaders. I can roll these off and drop what I get onto a napkin and see the role. Under the scope it looks like crystalized segments of string webbing off in different directions. A bath in olive leaf helps as I can rub my skin and find where the spreaders are and roll them off. They are hard to feel unless the body is really squeeky clean. I have to rub and rub an area before it will lift and sometimes roll up 8 inches worth. I wonder if your mom can see if she has spreaders. It can get like quarter sized gel spots under the breasts.I have been doing my bath for a long time now and am now doing a diet that is as close to oil free and anit-fungal as I can get as well as the anti-fungal medicine on my skin. I am finding very little spreaders at all now where they covered my body at first. Guest guest
Hi Krys,The problem is that specific labs do testing in a very specific way, some of which can be controversial. I know that Metametrix Lab, for example is a very unique lab. Perhaps Fry's is as well. Kaiser Permanente, a HMO in California where I have my primary insurance, has a terrible lab. They are only good for a certain things... I guess not all labs are created equally. I don't know about Europe though. This is true in the U.S. The fact is that Kaiser Permanente does not want to treat lots of serious illness so they don't diagnose when they should. I've seen this with my own healthcare and with other friends who have Kaiser health care. Sad, but true.L.

Guest guest
HI, Krys! I had stool tests taken for common parasites, that showed nothing. That was to a "normal" swedish lab. I haven´t had the blood works for that though. Maby I could try to get it, but the doctors here won´t cooperate probably. Is a normal allergy test the same as the IgE you are talking about? Is the Frys lab maby the only who can detect the new protozoa that is mentioned? You seem to have lot of knowledge and are so good to find articles etc about everything here. THanks for that!Cecilia From: Krys Brennand <krys109uk@...>bird mites Sent: Thu, June 2, 2011 8:39:06 PMSubject: Re: Re: Fry labs finds a protozoa in blood I should think it would be cheaper to send to labs in Sweden or elsewhere in Europe.I think protozoa of the digestive system would be diagnosed by faecal examination, but protozoan infection of blood & tissues would be diagnosed by blood exminantion, perhaps an antibody test? I'd guess that one couldn't detect external blood sucking mites from a test for antibodies, perhaps unless one had an allergic reaction to the bites. But that is jut a guess, I don't know enough about it, but it is the immunoglobulin E (IgE) which reacts to allergins & internal worms etc. Best wishesKrys On 2 June 2011 09:51, pcs_highroller <pshannon9@...> wrote: Hi CeceliaI would be surprised if you couldn't get labs ordered from abroad. Guest guest
Yeahhh Cecilia!!!!!!!! You finally found it. I let my mind take me back into infestation mode yesterday. The day before, when I had heard the maintenance man had removed the nests and sprayed, I started spraying everything, including porch/roof with lysol. Well, yesterday, while cleaning all ceiling and walls with lysol, I finally made it to the porch. 100's of little dots on the ceiling and some laying on the wooden floor. I wiped up the ones on the floor and could see they were dead. I mopped the ceiling and walls, too. No, I did not look at these under a scope. I would have freaked if they were mites. I felt two bits yesterday and have two bloody spots on my thighs. However, I took a lysol bath, showered and applied vinegar, I think, I handled that challenge. Two may have made it in, but they are dust now:) Love and light, Hi! THank you so much for sharing. Do you think it is possible to get tests run even if you live abroad? Take care! I am thinking /hoping that this protozoan is perhaps the reason why nothing else had worked to rid this biofilm and insect infestation from me and therefore, my environment...so perhaps it will help those of you who are in the same boat..i.e tried everything and nothing worked to totally eradicate it; since from my experience, some things would work but not enough to get rid them totally from me and dismantle their reproduction cycle --and I believe some protozoa can be airborne! I have tried EVERYTHING, you name it and it would work for a while, then stop...with exception to lysol. I have tried dettol, borax, botanicals etc., in my environment and on me and these helped initially, then failed to work for long term relief. Here is the info for all to share...please spread the word! Below is the link to what Fry labs describes on their site about their discoveries and below that is also the link to the blog talk radio to hear Dr. Fry's interview. I found just the first part of this interview the most informative, since toward the end not many people who called in got their questions answered. He made it quite clear he would not treat or diagnose via a talk radio blog. http://morgellonsfocusonhealth.com/fry_laboratories_llc here is the audio-- http://www.blogtalkradio.com/pamcrane/2011/05/19/1-step-blood-test-discovers-protozoa-under-biofilm-structure?sms_ss=email & at_xt=4dd6203db4259bdf,0I think you have to get a doctor on board to order the tests for you...am in the process right now. Metametrix labs had found I had an intestinal protozoa and yeast of unknown origin back some 3 years ago, but maybe there are blood parasites of the same nature involved as well. Tis what I aim to find out. At least we all have something tangible to work with here...Sounds like many of you are getting better regardless--great news!LovePdidit -- They shut the road through the woodsSeventy years ago.Weather and rain have undone it again,And now you would never knowThere was once a road through the woodsBefore they planted the trees. It is underneath the coppice and heath,And the thin anemones.Only the keeper seesThat, where the ring-dove broods,And the badgers roll at ease,There was once a road through the woods.Yet, if you enter the woodsOf a summer evening late,When the night-air cools on the trout-ringed poolsWhere the otter whistles his mate.(They fear not men in the woods,Because they see so few)You will hear the beat of a horse's feet,And the swish of a skirt in the dew,Steadily cantering throughThe misty solitudes,As though they perfectly knewThe old lost road through the woods….But there is no road through the woods. Guest guest
Hi Patti,My husband and I have had several treatments for two protozoan illnesses in the past. We both tested positive for and were treated with Flagyl on at least two occasions many years apart. Perhaps the first round of Flagyl we did not kill all of these parasites - but when tested two years ago, we had it again. Both stool tests were performed by Metametrix. The protozoan was Entamoeba Histolytica. Treatment has been Flagyl from two different doctors for the Entamoeba Histolytica. Here is a list of some of the common protozoan illnesses humans can get. But I think a lot of protozoans perhaps have jumped species too, so sure there are many more not listed here.http://www.microbiologyprocedure.com/eukaryotes-microbes/list-of-protozoan-diseases-in-human.htmAlso wondering if you HAD C. difficile previously or if it develops as a result of using clindamycin ??? I remember that Metametrix was very expensive. But thorough and I trust that lab.I too when I first got the mites had terrible digestive problems that started up and many other symptoms including a very stiff neck that went down the spinal column, into shoulders, etc. It was a stiffness unrelieved by massage or any medication. That was one of my first symptoms besides all the bites. I was a little afraid I had Meningitis. I also had Babesia. Re: Fry labs finds a protozoa in blood Hi CeceliaI would be surprised if you couldn't get labs ordered from abroad. But would be best to call Fry Labs first, just to make sure:Fry Laboratories, L.L.C. 15720 N.
Guest guest
I also find it interesting that some people with mites have found Doxycycline useful... which is an antiprotozoal. It is another form of tetracycline. Re: Fry labs finds a protozoa in blood Hi CeceliaI would be surprised if you couldn't get labs ordered from abroad. Guest guest
! WHat a nightmare to maby have new bites from mites. BUT it seems like you managed to handle them the right way. Unfortunately I can´t take lysol baths, cause we have no tub since we moved, but maby can try to spray it on me. I really hope now that the nest is gone and most of all the mites that could have been in there. You´re a fighter! Take care!
