Good idea!I try to see if I can find any oil burner and lemon eucalyptus! You are so kind!CFrom: Krys Brennand <krys109uk@...>bird mites Sent: Sun, May 29, 2011 5:19:31 PMSubject: Re: Re: Something that is working for me

I hope the lesions are of no significance, I have my fingers crossed for you.Burning incense might help while not being too intrusive in your new home. My mother has bought some lavender incense sticks as suggested by Rob, one could also use lavender in an oil burner. Or as Rob had success with the "livestock louse powder" which has the active ingredient p-Menthane-3,8-diol which is refined oil of Lemon Eucalyptus, what about burning oil lemon eucalyptus, harmless to humans but a deterrent to "bugs"? Products containing p-Menthane-3,8-diol have been registered, in EU, under the brand name Citriodiol.

Thank you, Krys! So sweet!I pretty much got my environment under control many years ago when I found a treatment for dustmites in carpet and coupled it with insect growth regulator and an organic knockdown such as Tweetmint, mixed in a gallon of water and sprayed in a zigzagging, criss-crossing pattern. The reason for that is to leave no clear path up the walls or across ceiling or carpet. When I do that, I don't have to completely coat everything, so I use much less chemical. Also, this mixture leaves no visible trace except a powdery dot where the droplets dry on smooth dark surfaces like mahogany. I spray all soft or absorbent materials also, including stucco, wood, and cardboard. It takes 8-12 weeks to kick in because it acts by disrupting life cycles. And it does work. I have to

repeat it every 8 months because I "walk out" and vacuum up the boric acid from the carpet, but I do it every Christmas and July 4. That helps me remember. Because of this, I have never had flying critters or any on my monitor. I do get them in my keyboard because my hands shed, so I wear vinyl gloves on my home keyboards and clean the ones at work weekly by running a disinfectant cloth between the keys with a steak knife. After the F-5 began driving them out of my body I have seen some fly from me, but not from somewhere in my environment. I vacuum everything weekly, and if I get bitten I vacuum a 3 yard circle around the bite area if it is in a place where I just sit like the computer or dining room, or a larger circle for places I walk through. My biggest challenge now that I am seeing progress with the F-5 is that I must go back and find posts about successful pet treatments - I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use the F-5

on them. It is one thing to take a chance with myself. We take them to the vet for a weekly bath and they are on the usual flea and heartworm treatments, because we cannot bathe them anymore. So we have to find some other way, and I know there are ways, I just don't remember since it was pretty much moot till I could eliminate them in and on me. Thanks for your suggestions, Krys, I appreciate them. I have tried and done a bunch of things, but not everything. I have and will learn from you.kajayFrom: Krys Brennand <krys109uk@...>To:

Lavender is lovely. I like sage with it but had to drop that since it's not good for my hubby's high blood pressure. It's also nice with Ylang Ylang.kajayFrom: Cecilia Borg <ceciliaborg@...>bird mites Sent: Sun, May 29, 2011 3:44:18 PMSubject: Re: Re:

Hi Bill, I am doing allright recently, thanks for asking ! Considering the fact

that May to July is supposed to be the most active mite time, I am doing really

well since I have added vinegar to my daily routine.

How are you, are things getting better ? Did your girlfriend get rid of the

bronchitis ?

I actually do live in Germany, not in Sweden ;-)

Hej Cecilia, that is a very good sign... 20 hours ! Please stay calm and try not

to panic. It seems like it was a one time incident only.

It just has to be !!!

Sagrotan comes in different presentations here, e.g. liquid cleaner and many

different sprays. The Lysol equivalent with that particular active ingredient

Krys recommended, actually is a 400 ml spray can and costs about 6 Euros. I can

strongly recommend white vinegar as well plus it is one of the cheapest remedies

!

acidic hugs ;-)

Hi, Aggi! The white vinegar seems like a winner for you and also more friends here. Is it just ordinary white vinegar that you buy in the food stores. How do you use it?Thanks for giving me hope!CeciliaFrom: Aggi <aggi_assmann@...>bird mites Sent: Mon, May 30, 2011 2:23:10 AMSubject: Re: Something that is working for me

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Cecilia. God love you!

HI!After the move we don´t have a tub, only a shower, so baths is not possible, otherwise I would have tried it. We so wanted to live a normal life and I don´t think I have the power to go back to the regimen with cleaning and laundry and ironing everything everyday and plastic bags on everything. Just don´t konw how to endure that after fighting so hard and giving up everything. We have not started that again, but maby I should to not let the bugs strike even harder? My thought was to wait for a week and see if more lesions show up. If they do: start doing all things again...

What do you all think?

Am trying to get a hold of the Lysol-chemical though, it might be able to order from eu, but cost us some.

Take care!C

I too am hoping this is just something transitory Cecilia. I know things come and go for me and I think, oh no, back to the beginning... and I can't assume that because it has never gotten as bad as it was back 3-1/2 years ago. (Knock on wood). Try to think positively and stay on top of things... don't let up even thought things seem "better." Maybe start doing the MMS baths???

Hi Cecilia, yes, it is just ordinary white vinegar from the food store. I fill a

little spray bottle and top it up with tap water at a 60 : 40 ratio. Besides, i

am going to the drugstore tomorrow, my offer for the Sagrotan is still standing

:-) Plus, i am off work this week and i " d have plenty of time to go to the post

office and send it to you. How about that ? It makes me happy giving you some

hope. I do know how very important this little word is, being in this particular

condition. I've learnt it the hard way... :-)

Big hug,

Aggi
