I have a friend who used an ozone machine to help her with CFS and severe environmental illness. She tried for the better part of a year to get stronger, but I don't think it helped. Of course, that was not birdmites, but I suspect that since the mites bury themselves, they would be immune from ozone. Maybe it would kill thing in the house, but you would have to have a lot of ozone to do that.

How about ozone?

Hi All,Has anyone ever been successful by using ozone generators for killing birdmites? I have learnt that ozone kills every living organism in the air, e.g. bacteria, fungus, mold, dustmites. Last week i have been talking to a lady of a company where you can lease ozone generators. She promised me to do some research and got back to me today, saying that she talked to some experts and they said that i should be able to eradicate birdmites with it. As i need to get 2 generators for producing enough ozone and because the generators are quite costly, i'd love to get your opinion prior to leasing. I might try 1 generator first for the car and see if it works as this vehicle is just the worst place to be at.

If the ozone thing works, I would like to try it for my car also, I have moved 3 times, but the bug incubator (my car) is still infested, sometimes it goes down a little, but then they bulk up again.
