Guest guest
My first parasites were birdmites. I still had a few left when I found this group and identified some of them. Over time my body became more attractive to several other parasites. Among them were colembolla, which settled in my feet, mainly. At first I could not take off my shoe and touch my stockinged foot without my hand being bitten, and my stockings inside my shoes were covered with sometimes hundreds of them. I was using Off, Deet, you name it, I tried it. I found ways to reduce the biting and crawling, but still got bitten and experienced crawling. That has been dropping off more lately as I am using boric acid and epsom salts on my scalp, body, and dry on my hands and feet. Every day I feel something move inside my shoe. For nearly 14 years. And every time I removed my shoes, even with all of the protocols I previously used, I would find sometimes dozens, and I have bagged, powdered, and disposed of many socks I thought I could never sanitize. Hosiery too. Today, I felt one little twinge. I had just gotten home from work, usually a pretty bad time of day (my critters tend to feed/mate about every 3 hours). I removed my shoe, made a mental note to replace the powder mixture I've been using, and then examined one of my socks without removing it from my foot. There were no gray spots. There were no black spots. Nothing. I still can feel them under the skin, but this is the first day that none came out to play. Holy moly, hallelujah, that has to mean something. For me, this is HUGE. Thanks to all of you. kajay
