Guest guest
Where do you buy this? Do you have to ordera and does it kill? Up close my skin has lots of white skin that most would think was dryness but it does not feel ddry. This will ball up when I take a bath and soak a while. Do springtails act different and could this be them? Please suggest. sandy
Guest guest
I have not seen it in stores, but I'm sure you can find it in a Google search. I wanted to find out what it was, and found this article on eHow: http://www.ehow.com/about_5035032_aquaphor-ointment.html An excerpt: Identification # Aquaphor Ointment is so widely recommended because it's hypoallergenic; free of any fragrances or preservatives. The active ingredient in the ointment is Petrolatum (it contains 41 percent) and the inactive ingredients are made up of Bisabolol, Ceresin, Glycerin, Lanolin Alcohol, Mineral Oil and Panthenol. I don't see where it has any magic ingredient, other than petroleum jelly, or petrolatum. You could probably use any heavy cream that will suffocate the mites and seal the moisture into your skin. You might want to try plain petroleum jelly if you're looking for something heavy and greasy like that, before you shell out the extra money for a brand name. I would suggest buying a big jar of cold cream, Ponds or Boots, and adding soothing essential oils, like eucalyptus or tea tree, to it. > > Where do you buy this? > Do you have to ordera and does it kill? > > Up close my skin has lots of white skin that most would think was dryness but it does not feel ddry. > This will ball up when I take a bath and soak a while. > > Do springtails act different and could this be them? > > Please suggest. > sandy >
Guest guest
Sandy, Aquaphor is an over-the-counter product to help with dryness on the body. If you don't have dry skin, but have burning it could still help to calm things down. I buy Aquaphor in large tubs. To my knowledge we didn't have springtails here, so not sure what they are like. We have had fibers and black specks mainly. They are everywhere in the house. I wish I knew what else to suggest. Some people here said Cedarcide is only good for a knock down. Maybe you should start using something else now. Did you use ammonia before?
