Guest guest
Dear and SB GIRL!THanks for your thoughts. Yesterday we all got bitten here except my husband. BOth me, 7 year old and my 1 year old... I´m so tired of it, but at least the 7 year old does not have crawlings and "only" biting a couple of times a week. It´s hard with the 1 year old who sometimes starts crying unexpectedly and sometimes iI find bite marks soon after. I have gotten a lot of small purpura marks (about 30 of them) on my core and also really bad acne like things + eczema in my face- NEVER had that problem in the past.Borax here is hard to get and when I find it it´s very strong and not the 20 Mule that you have, the weekest is the 10 x , and can only be bought expensively at a chemist store.Tried to find DE here as well, but can´t get it anywhere. So S B Girl, I gladly pay you for sending to me, if you would be that kind. All the best to you!CeciliaFrom: "Goldstein@..." <Goldstein@...>bird mites Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 6:56:23 AMSubject: Re: Good explanation for the mite problem I too am grateful for the little successes. So agree SBgirl! My new zapper did cost over $200 w/postage, so if you decide to get one, you can get one more reasonably. Yes, the Borax makes a difference for me in my hair for sure and fewer of those darn Demodex mites on the face, eyes, etc. In fact, I haven't had any crawling sensations on the face since I started using the Borax liberally on my face and hair and seems to help cut biofilm on the face and the weird acne I have been getting. Things are drying up. Nothing going into the eyeballs and biting there at all, as I had in Oct/November. I have itchy eyelashes at times, but that kinda comes and goes and may still be the Demodex mites. I will follow Hulda 's recommendations with the zapper as soon as I start using it. So glad you are finding a little freedom SBgirl. I sure wish Cecilia could easily get the Borax as it does seem to help A LOT. But, there are lots of other things that work too. I've kinda overspent for the last while, so have to pull back quite a bit for now, but will purchase the DE too to start taking internally. Great suggestion there and will really add to the benefits with the zapper, which does kill parasites too. So many others have used Borax since I've been going to these sites and it does work - but of course, it doesn't kill internally, so you have to do other things for the internals. It is strictly external. DE could be added to children's food too, as I recall it has little or no taste. It could be added to tomato sauce. I tried it a long time ago in water and not unpleasant but most kids wouldn't drink it. Thinking about you and Cecilia and anyone with little ones. Good explanation for the mite problem This web site explains the problem of why one person in a household is bothered by mites, while others are not. They believe it's based on a weakened immune system. Not new nformation for most of us, but they do strongly recommend the regular ingestion of Diatomaceous Earth as a remedy. There's more good advice on this web page.http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/diatomaceous_earth_mites.html
Guest guest
We ARE there for each other. :-) kajay From: Pingolt <jpingolt@...>bird mites Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 7:10:48 PMSubject: Re: Borax and DE C. I will gladly send you some DE, along with an extra bottle of sunscreen from an order I just received.....it is supposed to repel the bites/mites - maybe it will do the trick for you and your kiddos. I just tried it this afternoon - so far so good. I hate having to deal with this problem as a parent....it would be bad enough alone...but its worse to have to try to protect our kids when we don't even have the answers ourselves. It is good you are aware of what is going on with your little ones - things were so bad for us over the summer that my kids are now scared to tell me when they have symptoms, as they don't want to upset me and they just want things to be normal so even when they get new bites they will try to hide them. I am happy to pay the shipping - you have enough on your plate but please email me privately and send me your address. I just ordered the DE so it may be several days. I will wrap everything I send in your box in Christmas paper - maybe customs won't bother to look inside! You asked about the rats nest we removed - it hasn't made things better but at least we are not worse. I realized when typing another email out that we actually are in a better place than we were when the infestation started. Hard to remember back to May....and how we were living literally second by second. So, even though I can't report total success and I often get discouraged, I have to remember that there has been improvement. Some day you and I will be able to help the newbies out. Since the medical community has let us down we must be there for each other. Please hang in there - we will get through this! SBGirl On Jan 5, 2011, at 1:35 PM, Cecilia Borg wrote: Dear and SB GIRL! Guest guest
Hi Cecelia Borax can be used mixed in theis mix & last a long long time http://www.earthclinic.com/Pets/dog_mange_cure.html The mix: 2 tblspns borax (20 mule team Borax laundry booster 16 oz peroxide (3%) 32 oz water. mix it , and the borax nuetralizes the peroxide, no burn no pain & it kills the bug & heals up bite dast stopping the itch in 10 mins Makes 48 oz of amazing mix. Here is the post I learned it from , it heals lesions & cuts fast , it might make you borax last a long time. Cecelia if you think your borax you buy in Sweden is strong , maybe try using 1/4 the amount of borax in the mix & see it it helps , if not use half the amount of borax as the mix calls for & so on . For the environment dawn dish soap can be sprayed & stop the bug , it is messy but works ,1 cup windex per gallon of water in the rinse water will work wonder at poisining bugs .The ethelyne glycol, which is antifreeze in the windex will poison the water & make it undrinkable for the bug. Permanatly . God bless you Cecelia, Bill ps old post below thet o learned this mix from Good explanation for the mite problem >> >> >> >> This web site explains the problem of why one person in a household is bothered by mites, while others are not. >> >> >> >> They believe it's based on a weakened immune system. Guest guest
You are so kind! THanks for your support. SOrry to hear that finding the rats nest hasn´t helped much. We haven´t found the source for sure...AN abandonned birds nest, yes, but because we actually have no mites visible but only specks, poo and bites it´s hard to know for sure where it all comes from.Lot of courage and thoughts to you!CFrom: Kajay109 <kajay109@...>bird mites Sent: Thu, January 6, 2011 5:51:14 AMSubject: Re: Borax and DE We ARE there for each other. :-) kajay From: Pingolt <jpingolt@...>bird mites Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 7:10:48 PMSubject: Re: Borax and DE C.
