stringy discharge from watery eyes

I saw someone ask about or mention a stringy discharge. In this article which I think is about blepharitis, or inflamation of the eyelid, which I have developed in the last couple days, it mentions a stringy discharge. Not sure if it relates to our stuff or not, but if not I can tell you I have seen a lot of stringy things in the microscopic world, and not just fiber critters.
